"I think God makes more than one soulmate for every person, and the one you live your life with is just the one you met first. Yeah well, I have a problem. I met all of mine at once." ~Anonymous

We had had a great trip. The last 5 days had been amazing. Jai was an actual pleasure to be with. My parents had insisted we both stayed over for a couple of days after the wedding before we returned to India and those two days had been fun touring Singapore.

The second day when we had tried all the types of Singaporean cuisines was remarkable. We had tried some of the smelly roadside food too. It had been a bit too much for Jai though because he ended up puking all of it. I had never been to those places before. Every time I came to Singapore it was Marina Bay Sands, Sentosa or Universal Studios but this side of the city had been fun too.

We both got on the flight. We had business class seats because I got bored in first class. Sitting alone in such a long flight got tedious after a while. I took the window seat as usual and he didn’t mind it much. He was busy studying my new camera.

“Thanks for it,” I said looking at him, “again,” I added.

He scowled at me.

“What’s wrong?” I asked.

“You have to stop thanking me,” he said with irritation.

“Why? You reminded what my passion was and helped me take a step towards it,” I said. “I kind of owe you,” I continued.

“Take it as repentance for all the times I have made your life miserable,” he said with a wink. I laughed and decided to return the favour some other day.

He clicked some pictures of me and I gave him annoyed looks as I hated to be in front of the camera.

“One nice one please,” he said.

“Make me smile,” I commanded.

“Sexy legs,” he said with a wink.

My eyes widened and I hit him on his arm. He captured the shot of my eyes widening. He showed it to me and started laughing. So rude!

“You are mean,” I said.

“You are stupid,” he retorted. I gave him an incredulous look. “You just can’t take it as a compliment.”

“Fine,” I smiled.

“What were you thinking about now, sexy legs?” he teased me.

“Stop calling me that. And I thought of home. People who are waiting for me back there,” I said with a smile.

He suddenly stiffened next to me. His smile vanished and he looked elsewhere.

“Is there a problem?” I asked.

“None, we are taking off now,” he changed the topic. He gave the camera back to me.

“What is wrong?” I asked.

“Nothing,” he said not looking at me.

I stared at him. He had to tell me. Was he jealous? I was having an inkling for a couple of days now that Jai was jealous. But why would he be? Did he seriously like me?

He gave a small smile now. “Stop staring at me,” he said.

“Nah, you are really pretty,” I teased.

He looked at me and smirked. “Pretty?” he winced.

“Uh-huh,” I laughed.

“Are you talking about yourself?” he asked.
