"The decision to kiss for the first time is the most crucial in any love story. It changes the relationship of two people much more strongly than even the final surrender; because this kiss already has within it that surrender." ~ Emil Ludwig

As I was working today, I was called to the reception. I went there and there were flowers kept for me on the main desk. They were lovely beautiful red roses. I smiled. There was a note kept in the bouquet. I opened it. The note said 'Hey'. I guessed it was Akash. He was so sweet. I put the flowers in a vase on my desk. He had gone back to his office last week.

I got back to work but I was called to the reception in the immediate next hour. What was it this time?

There was a small package kept for me. I got back to my desk and opened it. There was a chocolate cupcake kept in the box from my favorite bakery with a message on the top. The message read - Miss you. I smiled again. I missed him too. Akash was so amazing.

Just then my phone beeped. 'Hope you're enjoying the cupcake. ;)' It was Akash.

I took a bite of the cupcake and replied. 'Delicious. :) Why all of this?'

'Why not?' he replied.

I smiled again. It was impossible not to. There was no natural force that could keep my cheeks down right now. Right now the only thing I wanted, was to be with him.

'Come back here' I messaged him.

'I wish' he replied.

I had to get back to work now. And more importantly, finish the cupcake.

'Talk to you soon. Loads of work,' I messaged. 'See you' he replied.

I finished my cupcake and got back to work. It wasn't until seven in the evening that I got up from my desk. I had a lot of stuff to read up and I had to complete a lot of documentation. I took a stroll around the office. Mostly everybody had left. Gaurav was on the phone in his office. I left him to it and got back to my desk. My phone beeped.

It was Akash.

Hey gorgeous,

Meet me at The Cόnaί in an hour. There's a car waiting for you downstairs. See you soon...

Akash :)

Okay, I replied.

Gorgeous? My heart was reeling with joy.

I quickly finished my remaining work. I didn't have enough time to go back home and change into something nicer. So I just freshened up and wore the pair of casuals I kept in the office for emergencies. And this definitely was an emergency. I tried to contain myself. But I was excited. What was he going to do? What did he have planned? All day had been amazing. I had loved the surprises. And now this. I couldn't wait to see him.

Every time I had to meet him my heart did flip-flops. As I sat in the car, I thought of him. Every single time I did that, I smiled. It was hard not to. Imagine you were wondering all your life that there was a guy you liked and what would have been if he would have known. I had dreamt of it. I had imagined every possible scenario. I had imagined him entering my life in so many ways. Every single time I had chided myself for being so childish. But now when he was right here, I felt like telling my younger self that she wasn't being childish. Not once in my life would I have believed that I would be dating him someday.

A guy met me in the reception and led me to a passageway and asked me to enter the hall. As I ventured through this hall, I realised how lucky I had been. I thanked God. Akash was one of the best things that had happened to me. He was sweet, smart, handsome and a very kind human being. He was everything I imagined and more. He understood me. I saw him sitting at a candle-lit table. He looked so handsome. He was wearing a pair of casuals. A blue t-shirt and black jeans, chic and casual. As soon as he saw me, he smiled. Oh how I loved his smile. It was contagious. I looked around. The ambience was so romantic. How did he manage to arrange this? It was so beautiful.
