“I will find that special person who is wrong for me in just the right way.

Let our scars fall in love.” ― Galway Kinnell

I had only just reached home from Jai’s and I got a message from him.

‘Ice-cream near your house. I am coming in fifteen minutes.’

He was mental. I would have to sneak out of the house. I waited for my parents to go into their rooms. I left the house as I got his call. I saw him waiting for me on his bike. He was wearing a blue hoodie and black shorts. His hair was messed up because of the wind. The usual Jai look which got every girl going weak in her knees.

I skipped towards him. I was happy because I was finally with him. The last month had been turbulent.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hey,” I chirped.

“Hop on,” he said. “Let’s get ourselves some delicious vanilla ice-cream,” he teased me.

“The very best,” I said and he chuckled.

The weather was amazing today. I left my hair. The wind was blowing through them and it was a beautiful feeling.

We got down at a nearby shop. As I started walking towards the shop, he caught my hand. I sensed a tingling sensation go up my body at his touch. He smiled at the effect he had on me.

I raised my eyebrows.

“I have to ask you something,” he said.

“What?” I looked at him curiously.

“I should have asked you this back at my house. But your mother came looking for you and I kind of forgot,” he said.

I patiently waited for him to get his sentences straight.

“Rhea, I really like you. Scratch that. I am crazy about you. If I see you with any other guy, the only thoughts that fill up my mind are how I could kill that moron. Will you be my girlfriend and free me from those evil thoughts?” he looked up at me with a smirk on his face.

I laughed. He looked so adorable. I pulled his cheek. “You are so cute,” I said and started walking towards the ice-cream counter.

He pulled me back again.

“Was that a yes?” he asked.

“What do you think it was?” I winked at him.

“I want an explicit answer,” he said still holding my hand.

“You think I went through all this trouble to say no to you?” I asked him with a smile.

“Explicit answer,” he repeated again. It was so much fun teasing him.

“What kind of evil thoughts did you have?” I asked trying to free my hand. But he had a very firm grip and he wasn’t letting go.

“You know I could wait here all night, right?” he asked patiently. He was so adorable.

“You know I won’t mind waiting with you,” I grinned. He shook his head with a smile. He was letting me have fun.

He pulled me towards him. Before he could do anything I said, “Yes.” He laughed and let go of my hand.

“Don’t you ever call me cute again,” he whispered threateningly in my ear. That whisper sent shivers up and down my spine.

“Will sexy do?” I asked coyly.
