Andy's pov
"Fuck," I growl under my breath, adjusting my jacket.
"What?" Lenny asks, walking up behind me and kissing my cheek.
"I can't remember my first line," I huff.
"God is inside you and all around you," she prompts. "Now come on! We're doing warm ups on stage."
I'm not great at remembering all my lines, especially since Jason has actually made a ton of changes to the script since we first started rehearsals. I honestly don't think there's a single scene that he hasn't changed in some way.
I follow her to the stage where the rest of the cast has gathered. It's our first show and my and Lenny's Broadway debuts. We go through our vocal warm ups and then Lenny and I work on our duet in act two. The stage is slowly clearing and I pull Lenny into my arms, resting my forehead against hers.
"I'm scared shitless," I grin down at her.
"Why?" She laughs. "I thought you were a world renouned performer who lived on stage."
"But I have to act now," I laugh.
"But you acted in high school," she says. "Don't forget that I was a fangirl once," she laughs as my eyes widen in confusion.
"But aren't you still a fangirl?" I ask.
"No. I'm a fangirlfriend," she laughs and kisses me lightly.
"Good," I laugh. "It's cool to have a fangirlfriend."
She stretches up in her tip toes and kisses the tip of my noes. A long sigh and a chorus of awes sound from behind us and we turn to see a large group of our cast mates, many recording us, standing in the wings.
"You too are SO cute!" Harley coos, finishing his recording. "This is going straight to Instagram."
"Same!" Leslie laughs. "The two of you are my OTP."
"Awe, thanks!" Lenny laughs.
"We should probably go get ready," I say, looking down at Lenny and taking her hand.
We walk off the stage and then separate to go to our dressing rooms. My costume is similar to my usual stage clothes and the makeup isn't too different either. I finish getting ready with fourteen minuets until show and go looking for Lenny. I find her doing a mark through of some choreography with a group of chorus girls. She's wearing a black crop top and a leather jacket over it with a pair of ripped black leather, ripped, leggings with beat up combat boots. Her hair is all teased up and her makeup is severe. She's so beautiful.
She looks over at me and grins. I grin back, looking her over. How did I get so lucky in finding her?
She walks over, taking a sip from her water bottle and smiling at me. "What's up hot stuff?"
"You know what," I grin, wiggling my eyebrows suggestively.
She slaps my shoulder playfully.
"What?" I laugh, holding up my hands in submission. "You have an effect on me."
She giggles. "You'll just have to deal with that until after the show."
"There's always intermission," I growl, pulling her against me.
"I'd absolutely love to kiss you, but I'd rather not cover you in black lipstick," she laughs, sticking one of her hands in my back pocket and squeezing my ass, making my jump. She giggles and blows me a kiss, grinning.
"Could we run lines real quick?" I ask.
"Sure."
We start running through some dialogue until Jason calls the cast together back stage.
