Andy's pov

"Now Andy move stage right along with Frankie and August towards the guard," Jason commands.

We're about four weeks into rehearsal for the show. Lenny and I have been hanging out almost regularly since the party and she's slowly becoming more comfortable. She's a like a feral cat that I'm trying to domesticate. She's a little skittish, especially when she's touched, but she's slowly growing to like me again.

"And- fight scene choreography begins here," Jason waves his hand in the air. "We'll be setting that this weekend. And cue entrance of Lennon, Lira I mean."

Lenny begins her blocking, walking backwards into the area marked as the stage and bumping into me from behind. I turn and aim what will be a bow and arrow, but at the moment is just me pantomiming, at her chest.

"Don't shoot!" Lennon yells.

"And why shouldn't I do that?" I ask, taking a quick look at my script.

"Because I'm here to help you," she responds.

She's so much better at this whole memorization thing than I am. After most rehearsals I go to her apartment or she comes to the apartment I'm renting and we run lines together. She's a really great coach and getting to spend time with her makes my day.

"Why the hell should we believe that?" I laugh. "You just came from the direction of F.E.A.R's camp."

"I was spying you idiot," she growls. "Some people know how to sneak around."

"We know how to sneak around," August who's playing Tar retaliates from behind me.

"Is that why a convoy of F.EA.R's troops are on their way to see what's going on right now?" Lennon raises her eyebrows.

"Shit!" August exclaims, looking around frantically. "We need to get out of here right now Jax!"

"What about her?" Frankie, who's playing Aaron, asks.

Sigh and then pull Lennon off the ground by her arm. "You can come with us, but you're on probation."

"And excited stage right!" Jason calls. "Alright, my leads can head out. I need to work with the corps. Have a wonderful day. I'll see Lenny and Andy tomorrow to set blocking for Done For You."

"Awesome," Lenny smiles at Jason. "Same bad time?"

"Same bad channel," Jason laughs. "See you tomorrow love."

"See you," she laughs.

I grab my coat and follow her out if the building. Its October in NYC and the air is much cooler than back in LA. The rest of the band are coming up to celebrate Halloween here with me in about a week and a half and Jason is throwing a huge mascara de party at his pent house.

"Mine or yours?" I ask, looking over at Lenny as she hails a cab.

"Yours, if you don't mind," she replies. "My apartment's a mess."

"It's fine with me," I laugh.

The cab drives us to my apartment and I insist on being the one to pay. The apartment has a really nice view of Central Park. Lenny loves to sit and look out over the trees and everything. Her own apartment is moderately sized but the only views are of alley ways and dirty side streets.

"Alright," Lenny says as we get settled. "What scene do you want to go over?"

"If I go through the act two monologue will you make sure I have it right?" I ask.

"No problem," she replies, pulling out her script.

I begin reciting the monologue while Lenny reads along, correcting me when I'm wrong. I walk carefully through the blocking which Lenny wrote down for me. I seriously don't know how I'd get through this show without her.

"Good job," Lenny laughs as I finish with a flourish.

"Thanks," I reply.

"Do you want to sing through Done For You?" She asks. "We may as well practice before Jason has us run it."

"Sure," I say, pulling out my own script. "Is a cappella cool with you?"

"Perfectly fine," she laughs.

We sing through the lyrics, feeding off each other's energy and grinning at each other the whole time. Lenny's singing voice is amazing. It's strong and she has a really good range although she tends to stick to the higher registers. She likes to sings with just as much confidence as the day I met her. Thats what I probably love most about her. This one perfect, constant thing.

*~*~*

She doesn't leave my apartment for hours. After we rehearse for about two hours, we make food and watch movies until Lenny has to leave to get ready for work. I walk her out and hail her a cab. The cab stops and Lenny gives the driver her address. I open the door for her but before she slips in she gives me a light kiss on the cheek.

"See you on the battlefield Jax," she laughs, quoting a line from the script.

"See you on the other side Lira," I answer, also quoting.

I close the door after her and watch as her cab pulls away from the curb and drives out of sight.
