On reaching home, she couldn't help but wonder when this house which was cold and expensive had become her warm and cozy home.

She had started putting emotions into the penthouse as soon as she got it. The colours she used brought life to the building.

Right now it was her safe haven for her swirling emotions. She had gone for too long without a man and that must be the reason why she was reacting to Iredia like a blushing youth.

Maybe it was time to get put there and find someone. Even if it was just for the time being before Iredia disappeared and if it progressed into something meaningful, even better for her.

She went into her room, eyeing the four poster bed with happiness. She had called Ade to help her finish up her work at the office and since he hated Tuesday night out with his aunt, she wasn't feeling guilty. She was actually helping a friend.

She stripped and entered into the shower, thought about it and decided to draw herself a bath. Sinking inside the water was heaven. Sweet nirvana.

She relaxed her body inside and tried to relax her mind. Her hands brushed her nipples and Iredia's face flashed before her.

Not the one she saw today but the one she knew as a lover. The way his eyes would glow when she touched herself. It was one of the most effective ways to get his attention especially her boobs.

Her mood shattered.

Remembering won't help one bit. It would only make her want him more. She picked up her phone and called her mum to check up on her. Then she collapsed on the bed welcoming sleep.

It was 3pm when Lesley jumped out of Ade's car to the site.

She had been choked with unexpected meetings with other partners which tied her down. She and Ade had battled it and it was almost 3 when they left the office.

She had stopped at her house to change into jean and a T-shirt. The plain skirt and heels were like battling demons and after all that, they had raised her. Lesley had switched off her phone after 10 missed calls from Iredia.

She walked into the building, hating that she had to apologize with Ade in her wake.

"What the fuck is wrong with you woman? Do you think i have the temperament for games?".

The voice came from behind and she turned around to find Iredia looking at her with scorn.

"I ... I'm sorry ... work ...."

Lesley bit her lips

"This is work too Miss Odiaka may I remind you that, I made a deal for six months. It won't be any business of mine if the project is completed or not, I'll leave and you'll have to find another and that would be your fate."

" I know; I just did not know the time was late."

"That's bullshit! I called 10 times."

"Was he counting?"

Lesley sighed, looked up straight at him, bit her lips and sighed again.

"I apologize, it won't happen again."

She licked her lips. Feeling suddenly dry-mouthed, Iredia's frown turned to growl.

"This would be the last time this happens. How did you reach your position? You are totally incompetent!"

"Well, you'll have to manage my incompetence, I am what you get, so suck it up."

He eyed her up to her feet.
