Lesley stared out the glass windows of her upscale office.

She appreciated everything her eyes landed on. The solid desk, the flawlessly screened walls, the art works and decorations that made the space look both like an office and some what a cozy place to gist.

She loved her new job and it was with the help of her long lost friend, Ebi.

The name brought back a part of her she had put aside. She smiled sadly, this time Ebi was really the angel.

Having left Benin after a year of  waiting, going to Amo city for her master's because she couldn't bare the state anymore.

She had left too because she couldn't keep on seeing Iredia smiling and being happy all over the news with different women.

She had spent 2years at Amo, reading and putting her all into it and having come to Lagos, she was shocked when she coincidentally bumped into Ebi.

Ebi a marketing manager at "WHEELS." She, who had been searching for a job had been lucky when Ebi told her about the space of the welfare manager vacaning to be filled.

It was a very high position and only the privileged knew about it and of course since Ebi's father owned 50percent of the company, she wasn't amazed when she was picked to fill in.

Her parents had been in shock when she had come back. She gave a story about wanting to find a better life and that served but she knew her mother didn't believe her. She somehow knew there was another reason but she didn't press it and for that she was grateful.

He had been everywhere; magazines, shows and even as a model of course he was the best candidate.

That piercing unique eyes, the skintone, height and sexy figure was what was needed. It had been as if the years they had spent together had not happened.

He was a stranger, another person entirely. It was as if what transpired was in a movie only the pain in her heart then told her it was real so she had ran away.

She missed peace, she was no more around in Benin having being posted to another city. Though they still spoke to each other but it wasn't as in the past. Peace also understood it all and didn't stop Lesley from running.

She was glad she had ran, now, as the welfare manager, she had all she could probably want; money, influence and of course men, different one to choose from.

Her parents were worried she wasn't married yet. This was Africa, at 27 it was strange not to have babies but Lesley wasn't worried.

She hadn't seen any worthy man yet and if she didn't see, she would get a child from the sperm bank.

It was done everywhere, she was in control now. Even the name of Iredia and his multunatural company "BEST" didn't have a shake on her again.

He had branches all over the country just in three years , he was good no doubt. She had heard how most girls named him their celebrity secret crush and she just laughed.

He was a human, she had give her self for him and he had thrown her away. Of course he had returned the money, his pride wouldn't take it.
