The house was magnificent. An old mansion with lots of gardens, fields, a maze and all the splendour of the 21st century.
The house had been renovated recently, from the halls to the rooms, the windows down to the tiniest details.
His aunt made sure of it. After all they were royal and the appearance was very important.
That witch, the wicked witch.
The family was crumbling and all she cared about was her appearance.
He could see her flying like a true witch in her full blue gown down at his favourite garden.
The golden garden which has a statue of a memorial waterfall at the middle.
He seeing her, hated the way she talked, laughed, eat, smiled, looked.
He had never liked her much and he was not really interested in the castle problems.
She always stopped him from being free. Reminding him of how he was to follow rules upon rules that were so restrictive.
"Your best friend Osas was just a commoner and a royal trash". She would always say.
The worst was the times when he was unfortunate enough to follow her to the market, most times she demanded he did and all she does was have meaningless conversations with Mrs Okojie.
A very cold woman, who did nothing but put on an overly fake smile that didn't take the coldness off her eyes.
Mrs okojie, lived in a duplex down the main road with her husband, a forthy-five year old chief of the village, the same age with his father.
Though his aunt was thirty five years old they were still close friends which he had not understood because in this village, friends were always in peer ages.
He had been taught by his dad, That peer groups was important.
"You should always be friends and talk to people with the same age range as you.
If they are older or younger, there is always a certain different way to approach them.
"A different way of greeting and posture". His dad has always recommend.
Rules, rules and rules. He hated it all. At 22, Prince Iredia, the 40th prince of the Uromi kingdom, heir to the throne , looked out the window from his room on the second floor.
His aunty, princess temigan was just taking a stroll through the gardens. He prayed she fell into the waterfall and a shark from hell skined her alive .
She was a beautiful woman, he had to admit but the ice in her bit that of Antarctica .
No wonder her fiance, a prince from Edumy left her a week before the exchange of vows and rites and ran away with her younger sister , aunty isoken , whisking her off to the church privately and marrying her .
One would think as the more beautiful and sophisticated one , the prince would move heaven and earth to have her.
He had pited her , felt sympathy for her back then but now he felt nothing like that except maybe happiness .
That poor prince osemudiamen didnt get shakled to the witch.
She didnt have a single wrinkle due to her beauty obsession .
He figured her coldness might be as a result of her not knowing a mans touch. Her high handed manner did not let her get close to anyone beneath her .
Always glad when the family had a problem. He was sure she was the mastermind behind all their problem.
He was going to the city, He would put his foot down and go to college in the city.
