Life.....
An invisible part of yourself.
A part you can feel within you
But you have no control over.
With a mind of her own,
She cuts through your flesh,
Like an unseen blade.

Ask her for her reasons.
She"ll tell you it's life lessons,
Without them, you would be too trusting,
Too loving, too kind.
An easy targets for bigger foes.

So now who will you trust?
When you can't even trust a part of your self.

Lesley walked majestically into the office in her elastic beige pencil skirt, six inch heels and a lace fitted top.

The model of a classy and professional lady. She knew she always got the attention of people when she walked and she basked in it.

If she didn't have an ice queen facade she would would have needed a stick to drive annoying people away.

She opened her office and eyes immediately found Ade's he had obviously been waiting for her.

He gave her a suggestive smile and raked her up with his eyes, appreciation shinning through it.

Lesley sighed. Another battle. She really needed that stick. She went around her desk and settled down comfortably, taking as much time as she could. He could look his fill.

"So Ade, what can I do for you? Or should I say welcome for intruding?"

"Sheet your claws kitty, I just came to drop off some files and the proposal for the new building that heart breaker sent to you."

"Since you want to bring me down with the extra work load. So tell me, why haven't you been down on this project like the others. "You've made me a middle man, it's unlike you."

"I have been very busy" Lesley said while looking at the non-existent files on her table.

"Busy?" Ade scoffed.

"The work load in our department is even lower than it has ever been and that has never stopped you before."

She cracked her head for an excuse. She couldn't tell Ade that she wasn't ready to meet her ex who she cheated on or that she threw out the chance to have drop dead gorgeous babies with mr almighty. No! She would look pathetic.

"Yea, family busy. Dad's got some issues he is settling and I am helping him out with it."

"well, you have to place that on hold."

'Why, you can definitely continue, you are competent enough. I know I dropped the party and this on you but you are very good Ade."

"Ah!"

"What?"

Ade was looking at her closely with his mouth wild open.

"You have never complemented me like that before. But as much as I find it fulfilling. For the next stage, you have to be at the site, sign some paperwork and supervise the work closely."

"Why?"

He shrugged. "Don't look at me, it's the bosses order."

"You can do that for me, please Ade, I am really packed."

"Nope, can't do beautiful. Mr Iredia called the boss and he told. No scratch that. He yelled  at me to drop all form of work on your desk and work closely with Mr Iredia. He wants the best building and you my dear are his best."

"But...."

"And you have about 40 seconds before Iredia steps into this office."

"What! You wouldn't...how?....why?"
