You forced yourself to eat some thing and washed it down with a mouth full of tap water. You were afraid. It was 7:45 and you had fifteen minutes until you had to meet Swan downstairs. None of the boys had talked to you; it was just as intense for them as it was for you.

You went to your room and threw on a baggy sweater and a pair of slacks, in preparation to be comfortable at all costs; throwing your hair back.

You walked out the front door and down the metal stairs. Your steps echoed around the cold brick walls. You're heart was racing as you stood on the other side of the door, trying to steady your breathing. Once this was over with, it was only going to go two ways. No big deal.

You pushed open the door, which greeted you with Swan in the front, and the others behind him in a row. You gulped, and stepped down to face him.

Swan took a step forward. "Red. You've asked us to become one of us, a Warrior. Tonight we must decide. You will be initiated into it, into one of three ways." He kept his face stern, and the others looked at him in curiosity; it was the first they were hearing of this too. "As it goes with females joining, it's difficult for them to survive the first option. Six pennies." He kept his calm demeanour, but his brothers didn't. You didn't know what this meant, but Vermin and Cowboy became visibly upset. Ajax though; refused to change his grimace expression, and forbid himself to look at you, arms crossed.

"Swan, no way!" Cowboy called out. "We can't do that." Vermin said, with a look of sickness to this option. "What is that?" You interrupted, trying to keep your cool.

"You take these." He opened his palm to reveal 6 pennies. "You drop them on the ground. We all beat on you until you've grabbed them all. If you don't make it, you don't make the cut." He said, handing them to you. You gulped hard. "What are the others?" You asked. "The second is the only other option for potential brothers. You gotta cross our turf and head into enemy territory, then mug and waste em'." He said. "Waste a rival? Or just an Other?" You asked confused. Fox laughed at you. "Think it's that easy? Someone from another gang of course." He rolled his eyes at you. You ignored him and looked back to Swan.

"You bring back something of their colours. That's how we get the proof." He said. "Or there's the third option, which no one in this gang has experienced." He said. You were intrigued by this, and you could see the others were too. Ajax was frowning, but still looking away.

"Females initiating for a potential gang only have this option. Sexed in." He said. He kept a cool composure as his brothers behind him did quite the opposite. "What?" Roared Ajax. He couldn't contain himself anymore. "Fuck no!" He barked. "Hey, ain't your woman no more." Vermin laughed. Ajax jumped for him, but Cochise was fast and held him back. "Come on man. Loosen up." He said, patting Ajax's chest. Swan held up his hand to silence them. "This isn't my plan, these are her options. If she chooses the latter then any of you can choose to refuse, but just know; you have to make up for it in a future assignment." He looked back down at you, and you mulled over your options in your head.

The boys were all huddled together talking, as you took a few minutes to yourself, smoking a fag. You continued to look over at the boys in your thoughts. Rembrandt, Cowboy, and Snow were listening on the sidelines, as Swan and Cochise tried to calm down the arguments being held by Ajax, Vermin, and Fox. "Hey, if she wants to get sexed in. Does Ajax get to watch it when I stick it in?" Fox taunted. "Fox, enough!" Swan demanded. Ajax was threatening him with a fist. "Just you wait." He growled.

"I've made my decision." You called out. They all stopped and turned to look at you. Ajax looked at you for the first time, giving you a look of desperation; begging you not to choose the last, with his eyes. "I'm going into enemy turf." You said. Though Swan's expression remained the same during this whole ordeal, you thought you could see him relax a bit. Cochise didn't hide his disappointment for not choosing the train, and you figured Fox wouldn't have minded six pennies.
