"What the fuck?" A rough voice sounded in your room. You groaned awake, opening your eyes to darkness; save the light from the doorway. Your head was banging with a headache, so you flinched at the loud voice. You looked at your surroundings, realizing you weren't in your own bedroom, but Vermin's. You started slowly remembering parts of how the night ended. You looked up to see him sleeping soundly with his heavy arm draped over your side.
"You fuckin' asshole!" The voice threatened. Ajax. You sat up quickly, as your head pounded against your skull. This wasn't good. He took a couple hard steps towards you two, as Vermin twitched awake. "What the-" He rubbed his eyes, looking down at the commotion.
"You got some real nerve, man!" Ajax barked. You put your hand out, as he stepped closer leaning over you two. "We didn't do nothin'." You said. He looked over at you in fury, he was in a full-out rage. "Don't you fuckin' talk to me, you god damn slut." He growled, smacking your hand aside.
Vermin was fully awake now, aware of his situation. He sat up and frowned up at Ajax. "Hey man, easy. We didn't do crap." He said, shielding you under his arm. "I don't give a shit what it looks like." Ajax said standing right over you, threatening Vermin.
You stood up now, and held your hand back up to his chest. "Ajax, we were drunk and passed out. It wasn't anything." You snapped. He threw his hand up, backhanding you across the face. The impact echoed in the room. He hit you so hard you had fallen sideways into Vermin's side table; your lip began to bleed.
As soon as you had fallen, you watched in a blur as Vermin tackled into Ajax's front, knocking him onto the floor. You sat there holding your lip, as Vermin and Ajax fell to their sides, rolling around hitting one another.
Vermin was trying to hold Ajax's arms down, who was getting a few punches in Vermin's sides. Vermin then managed to get on top, and slam Ajax's shoulders onto the ground; feeding him a couple times. But Ajax was quick, and socked him in the chest. Vermin hunched over, clearly winded. Ajax took this opportunity to punch Vermin in the side of the face; knocking him down onto his side. "Hey!" Swan's voice sounded from the doorway. You watched as he jumped in the middle of the two and pulled Ajax back. "Get out of here." He yelled at him. Ajax looked scuffed up, and eyed Swan hard, then to you. He breathed out hard, waving his hands away. He turned and left in a rage. Swan turned back around to Vermin, helping him up off the ground. "Jesuss" Vermin coughed.
You felt extremely uncomfortable with what just happened, embarrassed that you caused this. You stood up as Swan helped Vermin up, and walked out to the bathroom to clean your lip.
You wadded up some toilet paper and held it to your fresh cut, taking a pill out of the cabinet for your headache. You took a sip of water from the tap and swallowed it down, heading to your bedroom.
You laid down on your bed, shutting off your lamp and shutting your eyes. You still felt dizzy, and quickly fell asleep.
It had been two nights since the incident with Ajax and Vermin, and you were on patrol with Cochise tonight. "I feel like doin' somethin' in the city tonight." Cochise said, kicking an empty bottle across the deserted street. "Like what?" You asked, looking up at him. He shook his head. "Don't know. What say we grab a couple others and hit the town?" He smirked, walking back with you to the outfit. "You think Swan will be okay with that?" You asked. He laughed at you.
"Damn, no. But he ain't in charge of us like you think he is. There ain't no rules against us goin' out of town." He said, nudging you through the front door. You looked back at him and shrugged. "Alright, I'll come." You said, heading into your room to change.
You came back out a moment later after you had run a brush through your copper hair, and put some vaseline over your healing lip wound. You walked to the living area and sat down next to Mercy, asking if she wanted to come. "No, and you shouldn't either. The streets aren't safe with your colours on." She said. You frowned, looking up at Cochise. He was speaking with Vermin, and you interrupted them. "Our colours? Wouldn't we leave them behind?" You asked, confused. Vermin shook his head, but Cochise answered. "No way. There's more than enough of us. No one's gonna mess with the Warriors." He grinned. "Who's going then?" You asked, putting your feet up on the table. "Vermin here, as well as Chip and Mutt from the other outfit." He gestured to Vermin, who was listening in on you two. You shyly looked at him for a moment, noticing his blackened eye. You both hadn't talked much since Ajax and he had rumbled.
