Bad Decisions

It had been three days since you saw Ajax with that girl. You never left your room unless you had to go on patrol, or use the washroom. You were barely eating, and you were drinking more. The boys begun to give you looks of unease, and would even tell you to "Cool it."

Rembrandt had tried to catch up with you a couple times, going to and from your room; but you would shut the door on him. You even heard a couple of the boys through your door, telling Ajax to talk to you. But you would laugh under your breath when you heard that.

You had just finished your night patrol, and the boy's were on the run for some bunnies. Swan was in his room with Mercy, and Rembrandt was in his room, probably reading his comic. You decided your knuckles were beginning to look a bit funky, so you went to Cowboy's room, to find something to fix them up. You searched around in his box of supplies, taking a needle and string. You also saw some spare alcohol and a little bottle of pain reliever. There was no label on them.

You took the supplies to your room and slumped yourself on your bed. You opened the bottle of booze and poured some on your cuts, then took a long swig yourself. You sloppily tried to stitch both hands, and tied off the ends. You grabbed the bottle of pills near your foot, and held them up to examine them. They were small and yellow. They were aspirin you figured by the looks of it.

You opened the lid and threw four or five in your mouth, swallowing it down with the booze. Pain relievers never really seemed to work on you, so you figured four would do the trick.

You stood up and looked around your room. You threw off your horribly tight jeans, and pulled on some plain white undies; throwing over Cowboy's old borrowed T-shirt. You went to grab your notepad, and remembered it hadn't been in here, since you went to show Rembrandt your drawings that one night. You held the bottle in your hand and took another sip, carrying it with you as you walked down the hall. No one was here, so you took your moment alone in the living room while you could. The stereo was still going so you turned it up, switching to your favourite station. You kept drinking down the booze, and reached for your drawings, laughing to yourself crazily, as you flipped through them.

You were moving around the room, deciding on a new piece to work on for your book. When the door handle turned, and the boys walked in with their girls. There was about five of them hanging off the boy's arms, and you turned to see one on Ajax's. You felt your chest fill with a burning heat, but kept your cool. They looked at you from down the hall, as they entered the living area; surprised to see you out. They saw you there with your long messy red hair draped down your back, white disheveled shirt, and underwear that was only just hidden from the length of the shirt; booze in hand. Ajax gave a mocking laugh, and sat with his jade on a couch nearby. Snow and his girl went to the kitchen, while Vermin and Cochise took their girls to the biggest couch, kissing on them.

Your favourite song came on, and you begun to feel the music. The lights in the room were growing warm and happy, and you began to sing happily. You were beginning to get a few mocking looks from the girls, and the boys were sharing looks of either entertainment, or concern. Cowboy was the latter.

He didn't have a girl with him it seemed, and walked up to you. "Hey want to dance?" You asked, almost yelling in excitement. The music was loud and the boys were kissing and flirting it up in no time. "No." Cowboy said, frowning. "Red, maybe you should get some pants on?" He asked, trying to grab your arm. But you were laughing wildly, ducking away from him. "Red. Come on." Cowboy said, finally grabbing ahold of you. You giggled and looked over at Ajax, completely forgetting your hate for him.

He didn't smile with you though, and you didn't understand why. Why was no one else as elated at yourself? This night was going to be amazing, you could feel it. Ajax looked between you and Cowboy, as Cowboy finally influenced you to change into something more appropriate; walking you to your room. Ajax frowned.
