Trees lashed and crashed violently, swinging back and forth as they rustled from brushing each other. The moonlight spreads some of its luminance down the land though it can only pass against the small spaces between the wild pine trees.

My heart continued to beat furiously against my ribs in fear as I walked around the forest trails, my eyes darted around every area as I scream, the cold air biting into my lungs.

"George! I'm sorry okay? Please come out, George!"

I have been calling out for him for ten minutes, my lungs burn out from screaming yet there was no glimpse of him. It's as if he disappears into thin air- no, think positively, I still haven't searched the whole forest.

I heard a rustle and swift turn around only to see a rabbit hopping from one log to another, I continued my search and with my feet aching badly along with a freezing body since I didn't initially plan to brave out the weather to look for my brother, I arrived here at the heart of the forest.

Bright yellow tape surrounding the trees with striking red bold letters stating 'Do not enter'. My heart immediately froze, I shouldn't be here but George was still missing and the obvious broken tape allows me to learn that someone trespassed into this forbidden area and I am the second one to do it.

Taking a huge breath, I enter the center of the forest, ducking down to avoid the tapes and entering it with light steps. I couldn't call for his name here nor should I use my phone for light, it will deter my position and I would unlikely be a target of those wild animals.

"After this, I would definitely ground him with or without mom's permission" I gritted my teeth and said, the annoyance out weighting the fear in me.

I have entered this before but it was with Apple who knows the forest and is experts at dealing with the first itself and the animals living on it. This is the first time that I've done something bad if you exclude taking out a cookie from mom's cookie jar before dinner.

I was praying to all deities up above and finally, the heavens took pity on me and I saw a bush of hair and a human figure huddled in a massive rock, I stride into his direction and made sure to pinch his ears and gave him a beating when I notice his stiff expression.

He was cold and stiff as a rock, his eyes were quivering in fear, and is staring right at something.

"Shit" I whispered underneath my breath, I hope that what he's seeing isn't what I am imagining or I swore to God we'll be dead before we get home.

I closed my eyes and calm myself before looking in front of me, there, a humongous figure which blocked the light off from the moon was now watching us with his pair of electrifying blue eyes. He was the color of the night, suffice to explain why I didn't notice him at first, and now that I've seen him, I once again felt the fear coursing my veins after meeting this mythical creature once more.

I got this.

I'm supposed to.

This is not an ordinary wolf, this is a mythical creature, a werewolf. Something that we thought was just fiction and folk stories passed down by our ancestors but now, looking at this supposed to be not really creature, I was in awe.

I'm supposed to fear it, I should run away for the hills after meeting it again but after the adrenaline was pushed out of my body, I feel myself calming down at this magical sight.

I'm so confused but I wasn't able to spend time on my thoughts when I felt a tug on me, I looked down and almost forgot that I have a mission to beat my younger brother after returning home.

"S-Selene... home" he mumbled in fear, still looking at the creature with wide frightened eyes.

"Come on up" I gripped his cold sweaty hand and pulled him up, he almost bucked but I held him with me.

He quickly regains his balance but his hand was still gripped tightly against my arms.

"Don't look and walk slowly" I whispered at him as we walk slowly, his knees were like a brittle branch as they moved with an obvious shake.

And for once, I look behind me to see its eyes still staring at me, then left the forest.

The wind howled as we continued our butter walk, my face beckons chilled every second I am outside. In our journey out of the woods, I broke the silence that ensued between us.

"Sorry for lashing out at you earlier" he didn't reply for a minute and when I thought he would ignore for the rest of the walk, he answered.

"I'm sorry for pushing you too" I knew that my brother's initial kindness is just buried deeply against his reckless and cocky persona.

"Now, apologize to mom after we return, she's been worried sick for you. I guess she'll ground you for sneaking out in the woods of all places" I informed him, he just grunted in response but agreed anyway.

He, like me, would always listen to our mother whenever she get angry or worried. We've learned the hard way when she didn't speak to us for almost a week after we broke her mixer for experimenting.

"That wolf... are wolves usually that... terrifying?" I heard him ask and my heart pounded in nervousness.

Should I tell him it's not a wolf but a werewolf, that mythical creature everyone wanted to see? But what if he thinks I'm crazy or if he believed me, would he tell this to everyone and to his friends? Would I tell my brother about my discovery and be the catalyst for the werewolves?

"Yeah, those are just bigger" I lied.

I'm sorry, I can't tell you.

They loved in solitude to avoid human interaction and to avoid trouble that would come from discount their existence. They would be hunted or worse experimented.

But why did that wolf show itself to me for the second time? Aren't they supposed to be hiding themselves from humans? What made this creature meet me for the second time?
