If you want to be happy, do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on living fully in the present.

With just a sliver of space on the door coupled with my keen senses, I saw Lukka entering their porch with the baggage on each hand, he easily lifted it with ease with Shuren on the side about to knock on the door.
Our eyes met and he gave me a soft comforting smile which I returned which was also seen by Everlyn who coughed on the side and was easily brought a glass of water by her husband.
"Oh is this..." Candice trailed off and I nodded, Lukka went to my side and was offered to seat beside me.
"Thank you" he took a seat with his back straight like a soldier.
"Lukka meets Candice and Mike, they are Everlyn's parents" I introduced him and he shook hands with the two of them, his smile never leaving his face.
"It's nice to meet you, Selene has told me great adventures that you two did before"
"Really?! Oh, that's just something we do for fun! How about you and Selene? When's the wedding?"
I knew that other parents and some of those who were very close to me urged me to find myself a lover and settle down. But now that I am facing it I find myself getting scared, pedaling back, and wanting to just ignore it after all we have a lot of time in our hands.
Again, I find myself contemplating back on the changes that I have in my life, I am now a werewolf. I'm one of them which means my lifeline would be as long as them. My parents would grow old, I would watch Everlyn and my brother's grandchildren grow up and turn elders while I am stuck looking like I am still not in my thirties.
"Yeah, when's the wedding Selene? Next year? This month? When?" I snap out of my stupor and glared at Everlyn who was now smiling at me like a cunning fox.
"The wedding is still far away Aunt and Everlyn" I bit back the urge to roll my eyes at Everlyn and continued with a peaceful smile on my face. "We're still figuring each other out"
"Now, now, let them take a seat first and just wait for the good news" I thanked Mike for doing that and the two of us moved and sat next to each other.
I held his hands underneath the table as the surroundings grew noisy, Shuren's worried tones as he lectured Everlyn softly and warned her to not leave him again, Everlyn's tone filled with annoyance and helplessness as well as her parent's enthusiastic looks to Lukka.
"Hope you're ready for a round of questions" then I happened to see Mike standing up. "-and wine"
"Come on, let's celebrate, here's some freshly squeezed orange juice for you" Mike gave Everlyn a glass filled with natural orange juice as she looks at it in scorn.
"When will this pregnancy end! Ah! I want wine!" She collapsed at her table, eyes filled with jealousy as she beat Shuren's arms.
"It's my fault, I'm let you have my favorite wine after you give birth okay?" Shuren was whipped and could only take on her beatings.
"You promise!"
I stifled laughter after seeing their relationship. Everlyn was a bully and after learning she's pregnant, she's even much harder to deal with. Poor Shuren.
In the corner of my eyes, I saw Lukka looking with fond eyes towards their direction, I followed his gaze and took notice of the bulging belly of Everlyn and lift my head just to meet eyes with him.
