Say yes and you'll figure it out afterwards.

The wedding started in the middle of June, the weather is pleasant and as I walk towards the chairs that were draped in light lavender cloth, I sat down to relieve my aching feet from the hell heels that Everlyn once gifted me.
As my eyes wander around I could see how much thought was put into this church just by the architectural design as well as the paintings of angels and Jesus Christ on the wall. As the sun pointed its ray into one of the colored stain mirrors a rainbow reflected making it look like a web stepped on a fantasy-like castle.
Seats were arranged in order, the first like of the immediate family of both the bride and groom, the second is the bridesmaid and groom's men, and the rest were the ring bearer and the flower girls. Rehearsals were done once more before the wedding itself, I was paired with one of Shuren's friends whom I smiled awkwardly to.
Honestly, a bridesmaid is a maid at the wedding, we take care of people who were lost and chat to people we don't know besides that, we also help the bride. Thankfully this would be my last time agreeing to one or else I'll be called as stupid then if I agreed again.
The wedding coordinator finally signaled to us at the end of the rehearsals and we went back to our seats. We were at one of New York's well-known churches after all the to-be-married couple wanted to have a classy and cliche wedding theme except for the reception, I bet with all my money that Everlyn would get everyone crazy in the reception place.
"You're Everlyn's best friend right? The veterinarian?" I was suddenly asked by a woman in her late twenties and I nodded.
"Do you have a boyfriend? We were short of one person for our blind date this Friday, would you like to come?""Oh um... thank you for the offer but no, I have something to do that day" Lies. I don't I would just travel to New York again but for some reason, the thought of introducing myself to a potential boyfriend looks a bit desperate for me.
I don't have the time to get one nor have the intention of having one, for now.
"Oh, okay but you can ring me if you change your mind, Everlyn knew my number" she informed me once more and I just scroll through my phone.
I can't say that I have moved on to our relationship or the lack of time in our relationship, but I still held on to the fact that we are mates. Two souls that have been created for each other and honestly, I've asked about mates to Luna and she only said that those we have Kate's we're lucky and blessed to have one. To have a mate your life would seem more complete, your mind and heart would beat on the same rhythm and the deeper your relationship turns the deeper the bond is.
In my case, before the bond could strengthen he left. He didn't even give me the chance to experience a love that would be the catalyst for jealousy of others.
My mind finally went back to the wedding when I heard their song reverberate into the church. They have hired two singers, a man, and a woman, to sing their couple song- Endless love. The familiar tune echoes into each corner of the church as their voices sweetly intertwined with each other. It almost sounds heavenly, translating the love and devotion of the song on their way.
Then the oak door opened and brought forth Everlyn, a light seems to surround her figure and as she walked, I finally had realized that she's already starting a new chapter of her life.
It feels like yesterday when she cried over me when we went into the forest at night and now she's already on her own, about to start a family.
The ceremony was quite novel for me, it was such a serene event that left me almost sleeping but when their declaration started, I started tearing up like an absolute idiot.
"Do you Everlyn Sofia Gills take Shuren Ausley as your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do" she says, it feels like her eyes were sparkling with all the jewels you could find in the world at this moment.
"And you Shuren Ausley, do you take Everlyn Sofia Gills as your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do" he takes on the ring and puts it in Everlyn's ring finger and it was just so wonderful.
That pivotal moment started a round of applause from the people below, each of our smiles so genuine and pure.
The vows started after some events piled up and it was another sight to see, a declaration of their love and vows to the heavenly father that they would work on doing forever.
"I, Everlyn Sofia Gills, will always love, cherish and protect you with the best I can and I may not be the best wife out there but I will always be there through ups and downs and even when our roads are curved"
The audience laughed at the latter part and then it was Shuren's part.
"I, Shuren Ausley, will take you as my wife and give you all the beautiful things I could find in this world. I will put you first in everything before anything else, you are the bearer of my heart, the half of my soul that completes me and the only woman except for my mother of course" envoking laughter to the rest, I even saw his mother giving him a thumbs up before he continued. "As I was saying, you will be the only woman that I would lay my life for and I will work on getting that forever, you and me"
Everyone applauded and soon it was time to leave the church, Everlyn didn't throw her wedding bouquet before fully stepping out of the church but instead decided that it would be at the reception.
And I was right, the reception was Vegas-themed and it feels like I've gone into two different worlds. It wasn't tacky nor vulgar after you've arrived and k was somewhat surprised at that, thankfully there are no more male strippers but only a sort of a game between bridesmaids and groomsmen.
I was out of luck and can only accept the fact that it is Everlyn's day and I would be a jerk if I became a killjoy so I participated but God, I truly despise it.
"Congratulations" I went to her table, I am badly in need of peace at this moment and decided to come to their table.
"Thank you, how's Christian? Was he nice to you?" Shuren answered back and I just nodded, Christian was the groomsmen that I was paired off to.
"Yep, Christian was great"
"Christian? You're on first-name basis now?" She then added a wink and I just glared at her subtly.
"We're not, he was just polite to me"
"Sure" she dragged off and I just rolled my eyes at her before clinking my glass of cranberry juice to her- I'm not keen on making myself a blubbering mess of a drunkard.
Soon, the event ended and I had finally reached my bed, I instantly fell asleep at that time not knowing that there is another surprise that life had intended for me.
