He nodded.

"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you but it's hard to if you're insisting on marr-".

"I thought you were here to apologize", Esther snapped at her brother.

"Fine. Forgive my shortcomings".

She nodded.

"Can we start over again?".

"If you promise not to boss me around".

Christian nodded.

"Why don't you want to marry Elias?".

She glared at him.

"No, I'm not forcing you. I'm just trying to understand you".

"Because I don't like him".

"Why?".

Esther sighed.

They were in her room at the Bells Mansion.

"He's too powerful. Don't interrupt me", she said when she saw him about to speak.

"When I say powerful, I mean very dangerous. Elias is a pretender, he's a very cold and heartless person. He doesn't think before killing. Once, he tried to kill a little girl. He even raped me".

"He raped you?", Christian's voice suddenly became cold.

"He said he didn't know what he was doing, that he was drugged but thing is if he can do it once, he can do it again".

"He raped you and you didn't tell me?", her brother looked angry.

"Were you going to believe me?, you was gonna think I was trying to end the relationship which I am by the way".

He sighed.

"Fine, continue".

"Like I said, he's heartless. Doesn't care what happens as long as something goes his way. Elias is too dominant, he doesn't give me total freedom. I don't feel attracted to him so I don't want to marry him".

"I know you know Gehazi is back. Is that who you wanna marry?".

Esther looked at him for a moment then sighed deeply.

"If I tell you something, do you promise not to tell anyone?".

"What did you do?", he asked instead.

"Just promise".

"Fine, I promise".

"Pinkie promise?", she said, stretching out her smallest finger.

"We're not five, Esther".

She said nothing, waiting for him to do same.

Christian rolled his eyes and linked his finger around hers.

"So what is it?".

"That night Two was killed, I was with-".

"Him", Christian finalised.

"How did you know?", she looked taken aback.

"Because I just remembered he had sent you hints in the past telling you he was back. Nigga was bound to wanna meet you. That's why I-dad, both of us didn't want you to leave Elias' house".

"Suddenly, you start acting strange then people are dead".

"Look, you know how I feel about The Trio. They're like sisters to me and I'm really sorry about Two's death. Onika too, I didn't like her but I didn't mean for her to end up dead", she did feel sorry.
