When Elias announced the postponement of the wedding, Ky'mon Bells was pissed.

He knew it was his daughter's doing.

Of course, he couldn't protect her forever.

Whether Esther wanted to admit it or not, she knew, everybody knew she couldn't protect herself.

The girl couldn't even use a gun.

She doesn't know how to throw a punch.

And she definitely doesn't understand how underground ruling works.

Ky'mon was willing to spare her that by just marrying her to Frue Elias who would do everything for her.

All she had to do was stay put.

He loved his daughter.

Losing Esther at a very tender age might have altered his way of thinking but he didn't care if the end result meant he was protecting her.

He wished Esther would stop making him worry.

Esther sighed in satisfaction.

Her plan was perfecting itself.

She jumped up a little, trying to snatch the fruit from the tree.

She was in Elias' backyard, attempting to pluck some apples.

"Caramel, if yuh was two inches taller, yuh still wouldn't be able to pluck the apple".

Esther turned to glare at the owner of the voice.

"I'm not that short".

"Dummy, using hands to pluck fruits", Elias tsked.

"Shut up. Come here and be useful", she grumbled.

He walked over to her and smiled.

"Your servant is here, Empress", he said, sarcasm in his voice.

Esther ignored him and looked up.

"That one", she pointed to a big juicy apple.

Elias stretched out his hand and plucked the fruit.

"Did yuh know, your bubble butt looks like an apple", he said and handed the fruit to her.

"Someone's happy today. What happened?", she said as she added the apple to the basket on the ground.

"I found where Gehazi is hiding".

"Oh", her voice was quiet.

Just then, clouds formed and the sky rumbled.

"We should go ins-", Esther was cut short as it began to rain.

"But let's not talk about that. Yuh said yuh wanna know me", he said ignoring the downpour.

"Eli, rain".

"Ask me questions, anything yuh wanna know", he said, slowly backing her against the tree so he was covering her as droplets of water fell on his head and back.

"Is this supposed to be romantic or something?".

Elias placed his two hands on the tree above her head as he towered over her, shielding her from the rain.

He smirked as he looked down at her.

"Yuh are blushing prutus, yuh don't blush".

"Fine. What's your favorite color?".

"Red".

"Psh. Why?", she snickered.

"That was the color yuh was wearing when we first met...and it's the color of blood".
