Hey, wanna hang out?.

Just as she read the message, her phone rang.

Esther hadn't seen him since she left that fateful morning. She had been ignoring him for about two weeks.

She was wondering why he hadn't kidnapped her yet, letting her roam freely in the city.

After all, Elias was more than capable of locking her in and her father and brother wouldn't bat an eye.

Esther rolled her eyes. She wondered why he was bothering to apologize.

"He should just pay attention to his family", she muttered.

The little girl in front of her looked up at her.

Her parents were back in the city and she was currently having lunch with her baby sister.

She had gone for her medical checkup as she still hasn't gotten her memories back.

She gave Cookie a small smile and the little girl returned her smile with one of hers.

The phone rang one more time before Esther decided to pick the call.

She sighed as she placed the phone next to her ear.

"Caramel".

His voice was deep.

Deep and smooth.

Deep as the ocean and smooth like butter.

"Elias", her voice was cold.

"I can explain".

"Go ahead".

"Lemme see yuh, please".

Face reality, Esther. You can't keep avoiding him forever, something in her said.

"Fine".

"Do you want me to come pick yuh up and we can go back to my house".

"Why?, so you can do it again?".

"Caramel", he called, quieter this time with plea.

"Somewhere else", she said.

"My office?".

"Okay", she gave him the address then ended the call.

When the call ended, she replied to the message.

Tonight.

Soon, Elias arrived to pick her up. He went inside inside the restaurant until he spotted her, waiting for her to finish her lunch.

When she was done, she didn't say a word to him as she walked out of the restaurant holding on to Cookie's tiny hand. He stood up after her with a small smile on his face.

"Omg, you guys are so cute together. Your baby is really beautiful", an elderly woman cooed in awe when they walked out of the restaurant.

Esther stopped at the sound of the woman's voice making Elias bump into her.

There were three elderly women looking at them with admiration.

"Aww she has a sweet smile", one of the women pinched the little girl's cheeks.

"The girl be looking like her mama alright", another said.

"You snatched up a fine man. Your husband is a-".

"We're not married".

Elias rolled his eyes and the women looked surprised.

"Oh pardon me then".
