Two days before the final feud, Esther was at the Kona-Reys mansion.
"Your brother's just pissed cos it's his best friend, boys and their rubbish bro code you know. Remember uhm Kenneth-".
"Keenan", Dublin corrected her mother.
"Yeah that one. Remember how he didn't care hmmm?. It's like an unspoken rule amongst guys, sisters are off-limits. Also, ignore what your dad said, i'm here for you", Koko hugged her daughter.
"Mom, I really like him".
"Does he like you?".
"I think so".
"No Dub, I'm not talking about the sex. He obviously likes the sex if he's been banging you for awhile but does he like you?".
"I don't know".
Koko sighed.
Esther who had been sitting on the couch, listening in on their conversation decided to join in.
"Dub, what do you want with him?".
"I want to be with him. Before you ask me, no I don't know if I want to be with him forever but I don't want to live in the past or future. This is the present, I want to live it as it comes and mom, my present is Emmy. Please understand that", Dublin looked at her mom with pleading eyes.
"I understand honey but you should talk to him, sort things out".
"But Dad and Daquan s-".
"Dad and Daquan nothing", Koko said.
"I'll talk to Daquan for you", Esther smiled.
"And Lowe's gonna have to take it up with me. I have only one daughter and I ain't gonna let nobody ruin her happiness".
"Thanks mom, thanks sis", Dublin hugged Koko as she gave them a small smile.
"You're welcome", they both replied.
"But why did dad say that?, why did he say what he said the other day?".
"Honestly your dad probably thinks Emmy is gonna dump you like he's done with others. Your dad's only trying to get in your head so you can dump Emmy first".
Esther snorted.
"He definitely went about it the wrong way", she said.
"Yes, he did".
"Go and see him okay, I'll cover up for you", Koko said.
"Can you please come with me?", Dublin looked at Esther.
"Uhm why?".
Dublin shrugged.
"Moral support".
"Sure, I'll go with you", Esther gave her a smile.
"Okay go and dress up, they won't be back until later".
Soon, Dublin and her cousin were on their way to Emmy's house.
When they got there, Esther knocked on the door.
Emmy opened the door and frowned at Esther.
"Who the fuck is you?".
Esther stepped aside and Dublin came into view.
