Jin Ling's journey to the mountaintop was not the most exciting of moments. He was often found walking endlessly through forests. He had met some villagers on the way, who where eager to help him, not knowing that he was the laughingstock of the heavenly realm. After 7 tiring days, Jin Ling finally reached the mountain, and prepared to climb it.

Only if I had Suihua.. I could just fly up this thing.

Luckily, there was a path leading up to the summit of the mountain, by the time he reached the top, he was exhausted. At the top of the mountain was a massive cave, and Jin Ling could feel the spiritual energy around him just by walking into it.

"What a coincidence, that we'd run into your highness here."

Jin Ling turned to see a number of people, around 10 of them, standing behind him. Through their attire, Jin Ling could tell they were heavenly officials. Some of them were from the Lower Court, but most were in the Upper Court.

When they saw Jin Ling, their faces changed, and they tugged and elbowed each other, saying things under their breath. Both sides just stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity, until one of the heavenly officials cleared their throat and began talking.

"Indeed. Why has your highness come here too?"

"..."

Jin Ling forced himself to be composed, and responded with no signs of anger. "I am here to cultivate."

One cultivator smiled. "What a coincidence again. We have to train too."

To Jin Ling, their smile was more like mockery, than like happiness. Nonetheless, Jin Ling remained calm and tried not to start any fights. "What a coincidence indeed. If you'll excuse me, I'll be entering in first."

"Hold on." one cultivator said, grabbing Jin Ling's shoulder.

Jin Ling didn't like at all when random people touched him. Jin Ling let down his guard, and jerked his shoulder back, sending a slight glare over to the group of cultivators. Suddenly, the group of cultivators started laughing hard, catching the attention of other nearby cultivators.

"Hahahahaha!" one wheezed, "Hey, did you see that face he made!"

"Hahaha! Yeah, I was soooo scared!"

"Ever since your Highness has been banished the mortal realm, you've become soooo tough. You'd even offend heavenly officials! Hahahaha! No wonder people said you lack maternal education!"

"What the fuck did you just say?" Jin Ling said coldly, sending another icy glare.

The group quieted down, before bursting into laughter again. Jin Ling had never felt more insignificant and vulnerable in his lifetime.

"Yeah! Your bitch mom, what was her name again? Hey, what was her name again? I think it was Ji-" one mocked.

"Jiang! Jiang Yanli!" another added.

"Your bitch mom, Jiang Yanli, was the worst! Haha! I always wondered why such royalty like Jin Zixuan would marry a bitch like her."

"If I was Jin Zixuan, I would've canceled the marriage a long time ago!"

Jin Ling lowered his head. Although he had never met his parents, they were still a very sensitive place in his heart. Anger overtook Jin Ling, and he grabbed a rock, throwing it at one of them. When the rock hit their head, they all went silent. The cultivator who had been hit suddenly grew mad, and he unsheathed his jian, the blade showing an insecure Jin Ling.

"Your Highness has really gotten tougher, huh?"

Jin Ling knew that with his level of spiritual energy, there was no contest between the two of them. The cultivator pushed Jin Ling to the ground fiercely, and was about to strike Jin Ling, when an explosive talisman deflected his sword, sending them back.
