Chapter 17

Wow... Jin Ling is so beautiful. Sizhui thought to himself, as he stared at the boy's lips. I'm sure a small peck wouldn't hurt.

Sizhui's lips slowly inched towards Jin Ling's. Then, it happened. Sizhui's lips softly touched Jin Ling's. Sizhui tried to pull away, but surprisingly, his body was still moving forward. Suddenly, Sizhui felt something kiss back at him. He quickly looked to see Jin Ling looking at him. 

Sizhui quickly pulled back, "AH! Jin Ling! I didn't mean to. I... I..." Sizhui was desperately trying to look for an excuse, until he saw Jin Ling pull him towards the bed.

"Sizhui, it's okay." Jin Ling whispered into Sizhui's ear. "I liked it."

Sizhui's eyes widened, as Jin Ling pulled Sizhui in for a kiss. Instead of trying to pull away, Sizhui closed his eyes and kissed back at Jin Ling. They had a deep passionate kiss on Sizhui's bed. Suddenly, to Jin Ling's surprise, Sizhui moved his arms behind Jin Ling's back, and pulled himself closer to him. However, Jin Ling didn't care. All of the insults thrown at him magically melted away. Then, in the same fashion, Jin Ling snaked his arms around Sizhui and began to untie his sash belt. Sizhui suddenly broke the kiss, looking at Jin Ling. Jin Ling immediately let go, but the sash belt fell loose and untied itself. Sizhui's robes fell apart from his body and landed on the floor. Only a white undershirt with the cloud motif sewn on it remained.

"Ack! I am so sorry, Sizhui. I didn't mean to take off your robes." Jin Ling exclaimed, covering his eyes.

"Haha, it's okay Jin Ling." Sizhui responded, "It was an accident after all."

"Oh, okay." Jin Ling replied, breathing hard. "Well, I should lea-"

"AHH! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!"

Apparently, an unidentified Lan disciple had caught Jin Ling and Sizhui together, and reported to Lan Qiren. As punishment, Jin Ling were forced to copy the Book of Discipline 1000 times in his dorm, while Sizhui was locked in the Library Pavilion for 1 month. After a month, Sizhui would be in seclusion at the back mountain of Gusu for another 5 months.

1 month later...

Sizhui was finally released from the Library Pavilion after a month. To most disciples, being trapped in the Library Pavilion for 1 month would be unbearable. However, to Sizhui, it was not bad at all. Sizhui quietly spend his days reading about ghosts.

"Ghosts are divided by their rank and level. The order from least powerful to most powerful is Fierce, Severe, Wrath and Devastation. Fierce ghosts are the weakest, and only have the power to kill one person at a time. Severe ghosts are next, and have the power to wipe a household at once. Wraths are second-most powerful ghost. They can massacre a whole city with their powers. The final and most feared of all are devastations. Ghosts of level devastation have the power to wreak havoc to entire kingdoms almost instantaneously. There are only three ghosts that have ever reached level devastation, nicknamed The Four Calamities. The four calamities are the four ghost kings. Night Touring Green Lantern, also known as Green Ghost Qi Rong, is the first of the four. However, he is the weakest, not even reached level devastation yet. The next is Black Water Submerging Boats. Although he has reached devastation level, he rarely comes out to cause trouble in either the mortal realm or heaven. Next, it is the White Clothed Calamity, also known as Bai Wuxiang. He is exceedingly powerful in combat, where no heavenly official can take him on. The only documented kingdom that Bai Wuxiang destroyed was the Kingdom of Xianle. Bai Wuxiang passed away after the Crown Prince of Xianle, Xie Lian, defeated him. Legend says, however, that Bai Wuxiang has a handpicked successor to become the next White Clothed Calamity. The final calamity is the one that no one wants to provoke, Crimson Rain Sought Flower, Hua Cheng. He's known for defeating 33 heavenly officials and burning their temples in a single night. He recently married the Crown Prince of Xianle, Xie Lian."

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Who is it?" Sizhui called.

"Your one month lockup has expired." the disciple said, "Please follow me to the back mountain."

Sizhui sighed, "Okay."

Sizhui opened the door to see 2 Lan disciples at the door. They walked to a portion of the Cloud Recesses that Sizhui had never been to before. As the walked, they passed by the dormitories. Sizhui looked through the windows and saw Jin Ling copying the Book of Discipline.

Take care, Jin Ling. Sizhui thought as he continued walking. Eventually they reached the start of a dense forest. To Sizhui, this seemed like a dead end. However, one of the disciples used a talisman to temporarily disable the ward that was blocking their path. Immediately, the ward disintegrated and opened up a path to the back mountain. They continued walking until they reached the edge of mountain. Again, to Sizhui, this seemed like a dead end.

"Sizhui, we are here," the 2 disciples guided, "Since you have a headband, you will just need to walk through."

"Okay, thank you." Sizhui replied, bowing.
