Chapter 15[No one's POV]
It all happened so quickly, yet lasted for too long.
Just the mere mention of Kirishima's name sent Kaminari off into another episode, this one a lot more severe and... graphical. His eyeballs were rolled back to the point where only the whites of his eyes were visible. His limps were splayed across the mattress, strained and gargled shrieks passing through his throat. He squirmed so unnaturally to the extent where it was uncomfortable to watch him. Some would mistake it for a seizure.
It was far from it.
Aizawa immediately gets up after freezing up for a moment, yelling out Kaminari's name as tears prickle at his eyes. The tears were nothing compared to the waterfalls pouring from the honey-coloured eyes of the latter. Even his yells for Kaminari were masked by those haunted screeches, horrendous and painful to endure listening to.
He tries to pin the boy down once seeing Recovery Girl frantically murmur to herself as she slips behind the curtains to get a stronger sedative, panic evident in her voice. Though, as he manages to grip onto the two flailing wrists and pinning them down against the bed, a sudden surge causes Kaminari's leg to land a kick on Aizawa's abdomen. Both wrists fly free from his grasp and, though at first he hadn't retreated, he jerks back when Kaminari's quirk activates.
The guttural sounds and heart-wrenching sobs intensify.
Aizawa attempts to regulate his breathing, looking away from the scene to recover from the shock before looking back at the boy, shouting to try and find his way through to him. Recovery Girl tried to adjust the dosages of the IV but was forced to move the machine further away from the boy when his arm thrashed at a dangerous proximity towards it.
The question of dialling for an emergency ambulance grew closer.
It felt like the world stopped when Kirishima broke in.
Multiple times had he been told to keep out of Kaminari's room. All he could think about was Kaminari continuing to push him away and that this was his fault. The idea of still being kept away from Kaminari with this invisible wall between them made him feel even worse. Hearing these screams were the last straw for him - he didn't bother knocking as he invited himself in, rushing over to see him.
He was beyond horrified at the sight, certain to haunt his dreams. Tears immediately clad his eyes, a terrified scream erupting from his chest, mimicking the sound of plates crashing on the floor. He couldn't take back what he saw, breaking him into submission as he realises what his reckless mistakes had done. Yet he manages, after being paralysed for what felt like too long, to pin down all four of Kaminari's limbs to cause him less pain, activating his quirk so he didn't have to feel the shocks springing from the latter's porcelain skin.
At this point, just desperate sobs and moans fill the air, crying out for relief from the pain.
Kirishima did what he could to give comfort to Kaminari, though his own sobs did limit the efficiency of it. All he could think of, however, was what Kaminari had needed. He needed a friend. A friend to keep him happy and have his back and reassure him and... be there.
So, that's what he did.
He told him how amazing he was. How strong and brave he was. How he was there and he won't be leaving his side again, that he won't be making the same mistakes he already has.
Too many mistakes have already been made.He tells him that he was going to be ok; he was doing great; he was... beautiful.
He was beautiful! He really was, and Kirishima believed it the more times he said it! He was amazing! He was so... fucking beautiful!
