Chapter 9 - Vaibhav's Oath

Three days later...

As promised Nandini went to meet Vaibhav in the morning of 4th day. Vaibhav was still lying on bed without moving an inch. When she saw him, a smile appeared on her face.

"Good morning, sister in law" Vaibhav greeted as he saw her walking in.

Nandini nodded and sit down on chair placed beside the bed "how are you feeling now?"

"Nothing much. Since you treated I have been doing as per your instruction"

Nandini nodded again "I know, it is really good, you have this much patience with the treatment otherwise some people really couldn't wait and do some reckless thing that cause them lifetime sufferings"

"I have been like for years now. So since there was a chance for recovery, I couldn't mistake anything" Vaibhav replied.

"Good, as I expected" she got up and Atropa removed the silk quilt which Vaibhav's legs. She pressed her index and middle finger to check the current condition. After few minutes she gestured to Ageratina something. Ageratina brought a bowl before handling it to Vaibhav. Vaibhav immediately consumed it without a slight ght hesitation. Once he was done Ageratina took the bowl and moved back.

Nandini smiled "I did not expected that your body has great healing power. Normally it takes 2 weeks for people to get fully recovered but I must say I am surprised at how your healing functions in body works"

Vaibhav looked nervous. He was never nervous even if he was facing death but today his whole body filled with anxiety. He looked at Nandini and swallowed his saliva nervously.

"Does that mean I can move?"

Nandini almost laughed out looking at his expression. It looks like a girl who is about to get married to some unknown person. She chuckled lightly.

"You are doing good. The medicines you had this 3 days are to increase your vital energy so that your body can prepare to function like before" she replied before walking towards the chair again and sit down looking at him "now today after checking I found your body is already in good condition, in another word you have fully recovered"

Vaibhav's eyes almost popped out. Fully recovered it means he can-

"Of course, no get up and stand on your own. Looking at you lying like a corpse making me sick" Nandini waved her hand carelessly.

Vaibhav did not mind her mocking. Actually he don't even care about what she say to him. He moved and sit on bed before looking at his legs. The legs he thought he will never be able to use again. The part of his body which was sleeping for years and now it is about to wake up.

"Come on, are you going to stare at your legs for hours? I did not treat it for you only to see as decoration. You are misusing my treatment" Nandini mocking reached his ear again.

Excitedly he tried to move his legs and it worked. He can feel little pain but he can move his toes as per he wishes. Suddenly the pain he felt for years vanished in the thin air. He pulled his legs and when his toes touched the floor his eyes brimmed with tears. As a man he never showed emotions but today his eyes are not listening to his male ago and tears flowed like river. For the years he has been wishing to walk again, run again and fight in the bettle again. And now it's about to become reality. With this thought he stood up and stand on his own legs before walking a little. He couldn't believe it, it's happening before his eyes but still it feels like a dream.

Nandini watched his every changed expression then smiled. It was common for someone who was paralyzed for years and suddenly get to know that he can still work. She shook her head looking at how happy he look. In reality she was also surprised that, Vaibhav has great internal healing ability. Which is the only reason that made him recovered in 3 days while it took much time for others to get healed completely. She gestured Atropa with her eyes and Atropa nodded before walking out.
