Disturbed Silence

Silence
Shattered by the whispers
The breeze held
Kissing my cheek
Twirling by a strand
Raising the leaves
Sightless but calming

Stars shooting about
Some blinking in
The far distance
Crossed off the map on
The blanket of a sky
A guide for the travellers on
The plains of Sahara

Trees still,
Leaves seek solace
In the comfort of
The thick branches
Nocturnals raising a lid
Ready to break
The silence

Lights switched off
Doors firmly shut
Some stirred wearily
While others yet snored
But tech took hold
Of the rest of the world
Blurring off the reality

The lil girl
Delved in her dream
The teen shot up
Straight off with a mare
While adults still
Tossed and turned
Busy with devices

The wolves decided
That silence wasn't what
They could bear
They howled thick
Resonating towards
The Horizons
As the owls begun to join

Hooting and Howling,
But still the land
Held deep silence
Deserted by the presence
Of the worlds
Fellow inmates who
Always created the chaos

12 o' clock
The dead of the night
There were yet tires
Screeching on the tar
Inhuman such,
Partying instead of dozing
Caring not for the soul
It beholds.

Yet silence,
The meadows resonated
Only with the breeze
Cooling the earth
Rustling through the bushes
Tickling the ground
With a hearty laugh

And further yet
You could hear the waves crashing
Battling with the wind
Dancing through the rocks
Weaving gently to the shore.
But still, all you could hear was
Silence.
