Y/N - Your name

Your P.O.V.

I was awake pretty early for some reason, so I started making toast, grabbing the butter to make cucumber sandwiches. "Oh shit," I heard Vanya say when she came into the room. "Mom, go get ready, you have to be ready in... 15 minutes," I called out to her while making coffee.

The smell of the coffee reminded me of Five because he always seemed to be either drinking coffee or wanting to drink coffee. I went to the coffee table and picked up the paper with the address he had given me. I placed the paper in my room and started getting laundry done. When Vanya left, I continued doing laundry before getting ready for the last day of school before spring break. It was slightly cold out and today was half-day, so I could carry a jacket instead of a sweater. I had given my jacket to Five, so I grabbed his freshly cleaned blazer instead. It was very warm and still smelt like coffee and gunpowder. I smiled at the comforting feeling I got from the blazer. I quickly slipped the address he gave me in his blazer pocket, grabbed my backpack, and left for school. When I reached back home, Vanya was waiting for me.

"Y/N, I am going to the academy to search for Five, wanna come," she asked. I wanted to tell her the address Five had given me, but it was supposed to be only for emergencies. So, I nodded and grabbed a side-sling purse where I kept the house keys and some money. We went to the Academy and Vanya climbed up the stairs to the bedrooms, with me running behind her. She climbed even higher to reveal more rooms. She entered one of the rooms and muttered, "Oh, thank god."

I walked in after her, pulling my hair out of my face and behind my ears (if possible). And there stood Five, looking out the window. "I was worried sick about you," said Vanya to him. I felt guilty for not saying anything about the information I knew to her. Five turned around and quirked his eyebrows as if to ask if I didn't tell her anything. I shook my head no. He nodded firmly in understanding and smiled a bit before saying, "Sorry I left without saying goodbye." "No, look, I'm the one that should be sorry. Yeah, I was dismissive, and- I guess I didn't know how to process what you were saying. And I still can't, to be honest," said Vanya honestly. "Maybe you were right to be dismissive. Maybe it wasn't real after all," said Five, a little deflated, "It felt real... Well, as you said, the old man did say time travel could contaminate the mind."

"Well, I believe you," I said to him honestly. "You do," he asked, a little surprised. "Of course I do... I mean, the only contamination I see is your excessive amounts of sarcasm," I joked, making him chuckle. "Thank you both, I think I am just going to get some rest," he said to us. I nodded and left the room, Vanya following me. "Two minutes mom, I'll just return this blazer to Five," I said, turning around quickly. "Ok sweetie," she said, going down to the entrance. I climbed back up the stairs to the room where Five was. "Ooooh, does Fivey have a crush," I heard Klaus squeal. "What are you talking about, Klaus," asked Five, sounding annoyed. Before the conversation could continue any further, I walked into the room. "Hey Five, I forgot to return your blazer to you," I said, beginning to pull the blazer off of me. "No, it's fine. Keep it. I have many, and it looks better on you anyway," he said, smiling a little. "Thanks," I said, smiling back. "What's Klaus doing here," I asked, making Klaus wave at me a little drunkenly. "Something for the apocalypse," mutter Five vaguely. "Forget it, Klaus, we'll just raid the old man's closet," said Five, walking out the door. "As long as I get paid," said Klaus, making me snicker. "When the job is done," replied Five from outside the room. "Okay, but just so we're clear on the finer details, I just gotta go into this place and pretend to be you dear old dad, correct," asked Klaus, piquing my interest. "Can I come," I piped in before Five could reply. "I could pretend to be your sister or something," I continued, looking at him with puppy dog eyes. "No, Y/N" he replied, turning back to Klaus. "Why not," Klaus and I whined at the same time. "Because I said so," he replied shortly. "You're not my dad, you're a kid just like me, so I feel Klaus should get to choose," I said slyly, turning to Klaus.

"Of course she's coming. Now, what's our cover story," asked Klaus, looking at Five. "What? What are you talking about," asked Five, distracted by the question to push the topic of me coming and further. "I mean, was I really young when I had you? Like, 16? Like, young and... terribly misguided," continued Klaus. "Sure," said Five, trying to focus back on the mission. "Your mother, that slut. Whoever she was. We met at... the disco. Okay, remember that. Oh my god, the sex was amazing," said Klaus, forcing me to choke back laughs. "Klaus! There is a child here! And that is such a disturbing glimpse into that thing you call a brain," said Five, annoyed with Klaus. I burst out laughing. Five and Klaus both turned to look at me, while I tried to stop laughing. "Come one, Five. Remember what she said when you met her for the first time? I am sure she knows more about sex than you," said Klaus, beginning to laugh too. Five rolled his eyes, but I noticed the small smile playing at his lips. With that, Five turned and went down the stairs, Klaus and I following while laughing our asses off. "High five, mini Vanya," said Klaus holding up his hand. I laughed a little before slapping my hand against his. "High five Klausy," I said, smiling. "Yayyy, besties," said Klaus. I smiled a little before we left the academy with Five still walking ahead of us. "The first one to Five wins," asked Klaus, looking at me. I didn't respond and just started running. "HEY, NO FAIR," called out Klaus, running after me. "TOO BAD," I called out while running toward Five as fast as possible. I grabbed Five's shoulder, making him jump, then turned around and yelled, "I WON, I WON, I WON." "YOU CHEATED, MINI VANYA," yelled Klaus, fake pouting with his hand on his chest. "I adapted," I corrected, smiling at him.

"If you two are done, can we go," asked Five. "We're coming," I groaned, rolling my eyes. "Sorry, Klausy," I said pouting at him. "Well, I can't resist that puppy face, can I," said Klaus, smiling. "Yayyy," I said, hugging him. Chuckling, he hugged me back before we broke the hug and ran after Five again. After walking for some time, we reached a place that looked like a clinic, Meritech Prosthetics.
