"Come on, let's go," said Five, running out of the car. "I don't think she is breathing," said Luther, extremely frightened for her. I tuned out everything as I opened the gate and the doors of the Academy. "GRACE! GRACE WE NEED YOUR HELP," I yelled as soon as I walked into the Academy. Soon, Allison was on the operating table, and Grace was saying, "She suffered a severe laceration to her larynx. One of you will need to give blood." "I will," said all of us at once. Luther couldn't because he was half-ape, Klaus couldn't because of the drugs in the system, and Diego fainted before they could take his blood. "Please Grace, let me," I said, coming forward. She nodded, laid me on the operating table, and put me to sleep.

When I woke up, the room was deserted except for Allison, who was still not awake. I walked out of bed, a little dizzy and lightheaded from the lack of blood. "Harold Jenkins is our number 1 priority," I heard Five say. "I agree, let's go," said Diego. I walked into the room just as Klaus agreed to go too. "P/T/O/E, you're okay," said Five running to me and engulfing me in a hug. "Yeah, I'm fine. A little dizzy, but I'll manage," I said smiling. "Oh no, you are not coming," said Five. "I am," I said, just as I swayed a little, my knees buckling. "P/T/O/E, you are not. Go home, change, eat something. Then come to us," said Five as he supported me. I groaned but agreed. Five grabbed my hand and made the unidentified shape again. I nodded, and we ended up in Vanya's house. "Come to Jenkins's original address," said Five, hugging me for a moment before disappearing again. I took a quick bath, and at some point, I felt the same power course through me, but this time it stayed, but I ignored it. I wore a(n) F/C turtleneck. I pulled on black tights. I tied half my hair into a bun, leaving the other half open. I put on black running shoes. I toasted some bread and ate it as I left the house. I grabbed a cab and reached the address. I walked in to see the three men leaving. "What happened," I asked. "It seems someone has already killed him," replied Diego. "I want to see," I said, trying to get past them. "It's not something for someone to see, especially not you P/T/O/E," said Five, holding me back. I huffed but nodded. He then kissed my forehead, making me blush. "Ship," whispered Klaus in my ear, making me hit him playfully. "Now we are going to go look for Vanya," said Diego, smirking. Five grabbed my hand and made the shape again. I nodded, and we disappeared and reappeared at the Academy. We spent a lot of time going through each room in the building to no avail. We met the other two at the top of the staircase. "No sign of Vanya," said Five. "She's not in any one of the rooms," said Diego. "She's not downstairs either," said Klaus.

"Well, I am out," said Diego, making Five and I ask in unison, "Where are you going?" "Vanya's still out there, and so are Hazel and Cha Cha," finished Five. "I know. I'm gonna get my things and then I'm outta here. I got some unfinished business with those fools," said Diego before walking away. "Buck," I said, making him stop and turn around. "Please be careful," I said before hugging him. He hugged back and then walked away. "Hey, did dad say anything about the apocalypse when you spoke to him? Any clues as to how it happened," asked Five when I returned. "No. No clues. Truly terrific shave. But no clues," said Klaus. "Jeez," groaned Five, going to leave. "You know, come to think of it, he did mention something about my potential, and how I've barely scratched the surface of my-," said Klaus while following him, me following them both, before being interrupted by Five asking, "How did he know about the apocalypse?"

"I don't know, but listen. This whole jumping through time thing of yours, how did... How did you know how to do that," asked Klaus as we all reached the bottom of the stairs. "I didn't. You'd realize that if you were actually sober," said Five. I went up to him and rubbed his back to comfort him. "Hey, I am sober! I've been sober for two- almost two days," said Klaus as Five and I walked away, my hand still on his back. "Yeah, two days," said Five. "Feels like 45 years," muttered Klaus under his breath, making me laugh. "Who are you kidding, Klaus? I've seen you fidgeting all day," said Five. I moved my hand away from Five and let it fall back to my side. "Well, I guess we're both fighting our addictions, then," said Klaus, walking towards Five. I looked at Klaus confused as Five said, "I'm not an addict." "Yeah, you are. You are addicted to a drug called the apocalypse," said Klaus. "You're wrong," said Five adamantly. "First sign, denial," said Klaus victoriously before turning around. Five immediately spacial jumped in front of him, and threateningly pointed a finger at him while saying angrily, "You and I, we are not the same." "I've seen that look in the eyes of someone who doesn't know who they are without their high anymore. Trust me. You gotta just let go," said Klaus. Suddenly, Five threw the glass eyeball on the ground, making Klaus and I jump. "I think he meant figuratively, but that works too," I said. Five then left the room, me following. He placed Delores on the bar table, which made me even more jealous than last time. What is it with him and this mannequin, and why am I jealous of a non-living thing, dammit?

Five then started making what I recognized as a margarita. He poured it in three glasses, put in straws and umbrellas, and coated the rim with sugar. He handed me one of the glasses, placed another in front of Delores, and kept the last one with himself. "Well, do you think we really did it? Think we actually stopped the apocalypse," asked Five, facing Delores. After taking a sip of his margarita, he asked, "Now what?" He continued having the one-sided conversation. I huffed and went to the library. I picked out a fantasy book that was probably there from when Ben was still here. The name of the book was The Lord of the Rings. I had watched the movie and was literally in love with Legolas. I sat back down next to Five and started reading. Someone then knocked on the door. "I'll get it," said Five, margarita still in hand. I nodded and continued reading. "You're here to kill me," asked Five, making me snap my head up from the book. I looked to see Hazel holding out a gun. "Oh. Shit. Sorry. Old habits. Well, I can understand why you might feel that way, you know..." said Hazel. Understanding that there was no threat, I went back to my book. Just as Frodo got stabbed at Wheathertop, I heard someone kick someone. I flinched and looked up to see Diego fighting Hazel. "Diego, stop," said Five angrily, eyes shifting towards me. When Diego showed no signs of stopping, Five teleported to me. He pulled my face into his chest, hiding the fight from my view. He also covered my ears so I wouldn't hear anything. The only thing I could hear was his heartbeat. I tried to control my breathing to the rate of his heartbeat. Five suddenly disappeared and smashed a glass vase on Diego's head. "I draw the line at biting," said Five, coming back to me and wiping my tears. He then sat down on the couch next to me, so I placed my head on his shoulder and continued reading my book, hands still shaking a little. Five and Hazel continued talking, and I couldn't help but hear what they were saying. I pulled my knees up onto the couch and curled my body into Five's side. He wrapped and arms around my shoulders. "Now you can grow up, move on," said Hazel, getting up from the bar table to leave. They talked about Cha Cha being the person who killed Detective Patch and sadness welled up in me. "You both are cute together," said Hazel while leaving. "We are not dating," I said, lifting my head at him in shock. "Really? Could have fooled me," said Hazel, winking at me and leaving. I rolled my eyes and continued reading my book. As much as I would like to date Five, he definitely does not like me. Some time later, he told me he was leaving, taking Delores with him.

Just when Frodo volunteered himself to take the Ring to Mordor, I heard groaning. I looked up from my book to see Diego starting to wake up. "Good, you're up," I said, going back to my book. "If you want a drink, Five made margaritas," I said pointing at the bar table. He suddenly stood up and asked, "Where is he?" "Five let him go. He and I both agree that now the apocalypse is over, it's time for the fighting to stop," I said. Diego then knelt to pick up his knife. "Buck, he didn't kill Patch. It was Cha Cha who did it," I said, trying to get him to stop. "So what," asked Diego loudly, making me glare at him. "Keep your voice down, Five hasn't had enough sleep in ages," I said. "They were both there that night," continued Diego, now whisper-shouting. "Hazel gave us both the guns. And that will clear you because the ballistics will match Patch's crime scene. Hazel came here looking for a way out. He wanted a fresh start and happened to have the one thing that could do this family a little good. So maybe try and move on," I replied. "Not a chance," replied Diego, eyes filling up with tears. "Buck, let me just ask you one thing. What did you like most about your girlfriend," I asked softly. "A lot of things. Cute butt. Nice legs," replied Diego. "A lot of women have cute butts and nice legs, Buck. Some have even more than that. What was the thing that made Detective Patch stand out from the rest of the wonderful women in the world," I asked, rolling my eyes at his reply. "She believed in people. No matter how much shit and filth she saw on the streets. She always saw the good inside," he said. "Buck, do you think she will be proud to learn that you killed Hazel and Cha Cha as a way to honor her memory," I asked him. He stayed silent for a few moments. "Come here," I said, patting on the seat next to me, where Five had been earlier. He sat down next to me. "Think this though, Buck. Honor her memory by believing in people. Honor her memory by taking all that was good in her and replicating it in yourself," I said, rubbing his shoulder "You're right as always, doll," said Diego, sighing and placing his palms on his eyes. "Maybe rest for a moment, have some of the margarita," I said after hugging him for a few seconds. Suddenly, Luther walked into the room.

He said, "I locked Vanya up because I think she has powers."
