Five's P.O.V.

After Y/N left, I continued answering their questions, getting more and more annoyed about their stupidity. "Do you have any idea how insane this sounds," said Allison? The frustration in me boiled over and I snapped, "You know what else is insane? I look like a 13-year old boy, Klaus talks to the dead, and Luther thinks he is fooling everybody with that overcoat. Everything about us is insane. It always has been. We didn't choose this life, we're just living it. For the next three days, anyway." After a moment of silence, I hoped their questions were over so that I could go and try to stop the apocalypse. Instead, Allison started asking even more questions. I then brought up Claire, which seemed to convince her. "Let's get this bastard," said Allison, moving away from the bar table. "You had me at Gerald Jenkins," said Diego, walking forward. "Harold Jenkins," I corrected. "Whatever. I have already lost 2 people this week. I am not losing anyone else," said Diego, but I ignored him. We had to stop the apocalypse, and we did not have the time. Luther decided to stay here and look for the files he had sent to dad. "We don't have time for this," I called out when the others started discussing dad again. Klaus decided to stay put, probably cause he was high. "Two minutes guys, I'll just get Y/N. She will probably murder me if I don't tell her we're moving out," I said, climbing up to my room. "Okay," said Diego, and I vaguely heard laughter, but was too high up to ask why they were laughing. I went to my room and knocked on the door. "Come in," said Y/N's voice, so I walked in.

Your P.O.V.

"Come in," I called out when I heard someone knocking. I was too numb to turn around and see who it was. I just continued to stare blankly out of the window and down to the alleyway. "Hey Y/N, we are leaving," said Five. I couldn't find the willpower to move, or even reply. "Y/N, we are running out of time, there is an apocalypse," he said. I didn't move even an inch, putting all my efforts into keeping tears flow flowing out of my eyes. "Y/N, we don't have time for this," said Five, now standing in front of me and the window behind him. I avoided his eyes because I knew that I would start crying as soon as I looked at him.

"Y/N, we really need to go," he said while raising his hands to his hair. Out of instinct, I flinched, scared that I would get hurt. "Y/N? What was that," he asked, referring to my reaction, his hands falling back to his sides. "No-nothing," I fumbled, trying to divert attention from me. "We should go," I said, turning to the doors, trying to hide the tears that had slipped. "Y/N, we need to talk about this," he said, grabbing my wrist. "NO, WE DON'T," I yelled, turning towards him, yanking my wrist out of his grip and wiping away my tears. "Y/N, you just flinched. I know what it means," he said softly, looking at me with such sincerity it made my heart melt. The tears started flowing down my face freely, sniffles breaking through. I tried to say something, but my words kept breaking off into sobs. I leaned against the wall and slid down to the ground, curling up into a ball. I felt a set of arms wrap around me from my side as Five soothed and comforted me. "Shh, it's okay, I've got you," he kept repeating softly as I started bawling. I placed my head don't his shoulder as I continued to cry, the steady stream of tears blurring my vision. My tears soon started to subside, until they stopped altogether. "My dad. My real dad. After my mom was killed, he started hitting me. One day, when I was around 10, I punched him and ran away. That was when I met Vanya. I still have scars from when he used to hit me and burn me," I said softly, my voice hoarse from crying. "I am so sorry you had to go through that. I promise, I will never do that to you, and I will kill anyone who does," said Five. I laughed a little at the last statement. I looked up at him and he smiled at me. "Can I just stay here for a minute," I asked, snuggling into his chest, under his arms. "Of course, P/T/O/E," he said. "I smiled at the nickname and just enjoyed his embrace. I felt strangely comfortable with him, like I didn't have to hide anything from him. He also seemed to relax, the threat of impending doom out of his mind.

"We should probably go," I said, getting up. I walked to the bathroom in his room and washed my face. I straightened out my hair and turned to face Five. He walked down the stairs, and I followed. I saw Diego smirking, but the smirk shifted to concern as his eyes flashed to my face. He probably guessed that I had cried from the red eyes and puffy face. "You okay, doll," he asked. "I am now," I said sincerely, flashing a smile towards Five. "Okay, come one, we are going to the car," he said, pulling out his car keys. Diego sat in the front seat. I sat in the back. Five moved to sit next to me, leaving Allison in the passenger seat. As Five sat down, he wrapped one of his arms around my shoulder, which made butterflies explode in my stomach. "Where are we going," I asked when Diego started the car. "The Police Plaza," replied Diego. "We're d-d-driving in a car! Destination the police plaza! Pass the mic right over to Klaus! Oh wait, he isn't here," I sang. "Brookly 99! I loved that show," said Allison, turning around to face me. "Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, no doubt, no doubt, no doubt, no doubt," I said while laughing. I turned to face Five, and he was just staring at me. "It's rude to stare," I said to Five, nudging him with my elbow. "I'm not staring, I'm admiring," he said, proud of how smooth he was. I blushed at the comment and turned to face the front. I looked at the rear-view mirror to see Diego smirking. "Shut up, Buck," I said, smacking his arm. "I didn't say anything," said Diego, still smirking.

"We're here," called out a Diego, parking the car. "Why are we here," I asked him. "I know this Jenkins dude has to have some record. We just gotta get our hands on this file," said Diego, looking out of the window. "And your plan is to what? Waltz in there and ask for it," asked Allison, highlighting an obvious flaw in the plan. "I know the station like the back of my hand, sis. I've spent a lot of time inside," said Diego. "Handcuffs? Didn't know you were into bondage, Buck," I said, laughing. He rolled his eyes at me. "Whatever. Here's the plan," said Diego, before being interrupted by Five saying, "Plan? I'm just gonna blink in and get the file." "No, that's not-. You don't know the ins and outs of this place, okay," said Diego, clearly not having thought this through. "I literally just did this yesterday," said Five, making me turn towards him in confusion. "My yesterday, not your yesterday," clarified Five before continuing, "It'll take me two seconds. Why don't I just go?"

"Listen to me. You are not going in there. I made a call. That's what a leader does. He leads," said Diego before getting out and slamming the door shut. "Number one can you please sing the beginning of 'I want it that way' by the backstreet boys," I said, pointing to Allison. "Really? Uh, okay... you are my fire. Number 2, carry on," sang Allison, smiling. "The one desireeee. Number 3," I exclaimed. "Believe when I say, Number 4," sang Allison. "I want it that wayyyy! Tell me why, ain't nothing but a heartbreak," I sang. "Tell me why ain't nothing but a mistake," sang Allison. "Now Number 5," I sang pointing to Five. When he didn't sing, I gave him puppy dog eyes. "I never wanna hear you say," he sang. "Whoo, I want it that way," said Allison, surprised that Five actually sang. "Chills, literal chills," I said, trying to sound like Jake. "It's number 5. Number 5 killed my brother," said Allison, fake sobbing. "Oh my god, I forgot about that," I said before bursting out laughing, Allison joining in. "Ok N/N, I just wanna call Vanya once," said Allison. "We'll come with you," I said, opening the door and getting out. Allison walked to the nearest payphone while Five and I rested our backs against the wall of a nearby building. Just as Allison placed the phone back on the receiver, Diego came back. "So," asked Five, looking at Diego expectantly. "You're welcome," he said, holding up a file. Allison snatched the file from Diego and started going through it. "Holy shit," said Allison, making me ask, "What is it?" "Harold Jenkins is Leonard Peabody," said Allison, holding up a photo of the dude I had seen with mom at the Academy an hour earlier. "Fuck, mom's in danger," I said, running to the car. The rest quickly got into the car and drove to Jenkins's house.
