-John's POV-

(A/N: Trust me, you'll see this more often)

Brian and Roger came back with the amp they had stored in the back and carefully brought it in. "Some guy we auditioned about 3 months ago abandoned it here. Thankfully it was kept brand new in a storage unit. We dusted it off a little, it should work just fine.", Roger said. "I wonder why he abandoned it.", I pondered. "He really said that the band's name is ridiculous.", Brian shrugged. What could they mean? "It's not ridiculous at all, it's very simple and very royal I'd say.", Freddie complimented. "Says the guy who came up with the name, Queen.", Roger huffed. Queen huh? "I actually kinda like that. It might be ridiculous to some cuz we're all gentlemen, but it's a very simple word for anyone in the world to remember.", I admitted. Freddie looked at me and smiled. "I knew you'd agree, John.", he said.

Something about him makes me want him even more. Ugh, dumb feelings. I saw the blonde one untangle a cord meant for bass guitars, plugging one end into the amp while the curly one actually plugged the amp in an outlet. "It's all yours, have at it.", Roger called. That nervous feeling got to me again as I gulped thickly, but I had to be strong, be brave, and feel confident. I took my bass and unlocked it from its case. I took my instrument out of it carefully because I didn't want nerves getting to me. I could feel the sense the other two sat with Freddie and were watching me, but regardless, I'm still confident enough to continue setting up. I pushed the case to the side and plugged in the other side to my bass.

I carefully strummed each string for tuning purposes. They were right, the amp still worked perfectly fine. I took deep breaths and finally turned to them, playing a song that I've came up with and only I have been practicing for the past few weeks ever since working at the touring site. I felt that anxiety rushed out of me as I kept playing. I looked up a little only to see the trio move around quite a bit, I assume they must've liked what I'm playing so far, so of course I continued. I stopped after three minutes of playing and sighed a little sigh of relief. I suddenly heard the trio clapping aloud, they really must've enjoyed my playing.

"Well John, looks like you're apart of us now.", Freddie announced suddenly. "Really, I'm in?", I asked. He nodded and simply greeted, "Welcome to Queen, John Deacon." I couldn't believe it. I finally felt so accepted into something that might last a lifetime! I felt so ecstatic in the moment. I unplugged my bass and the amp carefully, and put my bass back in the case and relocking it. I rushed over to Freddie and hugged him tightly nearly knocking him over. "Thank you....thank you so much!", I whispered to him. He hugged me back replying, "You're so welcome, John." I felt touches of the other two, seems like we're in a group hug now. Looks like the band is finally completed. We're Queen now.

(A/N: Quick fun fact, my sister's learning to be a bassist)
