-Freddie's POV-
(Warning, mature content ahead)
It's still quite unbelievable that John was in love with me and found me very attractive. Although I don't believe it myself, maybe I do have some kind of charm. We were back in my flat and I set up a film for us to watch, a romantic comedy at that. I actually found it very cute to have him snuggled up next to me, I actually found him incredibly adorable anyways. He had the brightest gray green eyes, these two dots on his face looked more like cutie marks, his brun long hair. I obviously wanted him for myself, he seems like a nice gentleman and is still discovering his sexuality. He kept his eyes on the film, and would occasionally look up at me and I'd look back at him. Every time he'd look at me, he would stare for a bit and smile a little. His eyes had these creases show up every time he smiled, which I found adorable. I suddenly felt him scoot closer and lay on my chest, even if he was a bit taller than me.
I gently stroked his hair, letting him know that he was safe with me. Somehow, the film shown a very mature and sexual scene. I thought John would be kinda shocked, but he just continued watching. I honestly wasn't sure he wasn't ready for intimacy like that, even though he was either just turned 18 or is past 18. "John, are you sure you're okay with this?", I asked. "Of course I am, Freddie, I'm almost 20.", he responded. That kinda summed up everything. He then tried reaching for his glass, and I handed it to immediately. He thanked me and took a little sip of that wine he liked so much, then allowed me to set it back down.
"Freddie, I feel that this is a nice first date.", he shyly spoke. A date? Really? But he did just confess that he's in love with me. I sat back and chuckled a little. "Don't worry, I promise you that we'll go out on a better one.", I responded. "Oh it doesn't matter what kind of date we're on, as long as we're hanging out together...", he replied. He did have a good point though, we are indeed hanging out together.
The film was almost over and John was suddenly squirming. "Darling are you alright?", I asked. "I'm fine, just trying to get comfortable.", he said. I gave him a small smile and continued watching the film. "Say, how bout after the film, I could probably make us something to eat.", he suggested. "I'd love that.", I said and he smiled. Damn, he's so cute. After the film was over, I saw him scramble into the kitchen and I popped the film out. "Whatcha gonna make us, Chef John?", I teased. "Depends. You have a bit of seafood in here and some dairy. What would you like?", he responded. "It doesn't have to be fancy, John. Like you said before, it doesn't matter what kind of date we're on.", I simply replied. "You're right. How bout some scrambled eggs and some mushrooms.", he suggested. "Sounds great!", I replied. Although I don't know how to cook myself, I decided to help out by doing simple things to complete the task at hand.
We ended up enjoying our dinner together, and he offered to help get the dishes cleaned up. Afterwards, I took up to my bedroom. "You have such a nice bedroom.", he complimented looking around. "Thank you.", I said sitting on the edge of the bed. I obviously signaled him to come sit next to me, and he did. "Listen John, after that kiss, I happen to realize how much I like you too...we could probably be much more than just friends.", I said. He blushed lightly and asked, "Y-you really think so?" Of course I nodded. I felt like I was rushing ourselves into this probable relationship, but damn, I really do want to spend the rest of my life with him.
-John's POV-
I honestly didn't know what to say, he really wanted to love me. It's possible, yet, I don't know if I'm ready to be committed. I fear that he'd be heartbroken if I said that I'm not ready, maybe he'd be accepting of it. I also fear that my anxiety will be in the way of our probable love together. I really don't want to hurt his feelings.
I took a few deep breaths.
"Y'know, I really hate to tell you but...I'm not so sure about being in a relationship just yet.", I said. I started to tear up, I felt that I hurt the man I'm obviously in love with. He saw how bad I was feeling and rubbed my shoulder in comfort. "John, it's okay, I understand that you're not ready. Honestly, I'm not ready either. We should really think this through, darling.", he advised. I felt like crying at the moment. "I'm so sorry, Freddie.", I apologized. "Don't apologize, John. You should at least think about it and maybe start considering your sexuality a little bit more, y'know. Discover what you truly like.", he replied. He was right. I had to think about whether if I really liked men or women, or both.
My eyes watered quickly and I immediately wiped my eyes. Freddie soon hugged me close, allowing me to lay on his shoulder. "I understand that you feel that you would upset me by saying no...but darling, it's alright, I'm not hurt. I know that maybe you're just not really ready to be in a committed relationship with anyone.", he calmly explained. That just brought me over the edge and immediately made me cry a little. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed of myself, even though I shouldn't be. I felt the Persian stroke my hair a little and whispering some sweet soothing and comforting words to me, which helped me calm down.
He then asked if I still wanted to stay the night, in which I still agreed to. He then took care of me by giving me a glass of water for my sudden dehydration, offered me to borrow some sleep wear, and even allowed me to sleep in the same bed because as a friend, he'd never let me sleep on the couch. I thanked him for everything before he cut the lamp off. He honestly is already such a true friend to me, regardless if we weren't in a relationship.
