A week has gone by and the two are finally setting for tonight, their house warming party. Since he is a bit taller than Freddie, John had put up streamers and other party decoratives. Freddie was in the kitchen preparing mock tails for everyone since he clearly hates alcoholism and wants to consider those who are becoming sober or already are sober. As soon as John was finished with the decorations and musical preferences, he made his way in the kitchen to help out his partner with the rest. He looked incredibly confused as to what Freddie was making for the guests.

"What exactly are these, Freddie?", he asks. "These, darling, are mock tails. Not everyone around here drinks alcohol, and I certainly hate alcohol myself. I once worked at a bar but eventually quit. Couldn't stand the reek of it.", Freddie explained. John took that as a personal jab to himself, for he's still a strong drinker of alcohol himself. "What's wrong, John?", the Parsi questioned tilting his head a little. "It's just that...", John sighed, "Freddie in all honesty, I'm quite a heavy drinker myself. I don't understand why I didn't tell you sooner, especially when you allowed it that one time."

Freddie was a bit floored as John reminded him what he had done. "I...I didn't realize that, John....I'm terribly sorry about that night, I only allowed it because we barely met. But now that I know, I should probably help you get sober.", he uttered. "But what if I don't want to? Don't you accept me for all my flaws?", Deaky argued frowning. "John, listen, if we can't get you stop, we can't make this relationship work, do you understand?", Freddie quickly snapped grabbing his partner's arm. The lankier one nodded ever so slowly, fearful from that sudden reaction.

"Listen, sweetie, I did express how I felt about it and all, okay? I just don't want you highly addictive to something horrendous as alcohol, it's clearly life ruining.", Freddie sighed letting go of John's arm. "How many lives have you seen being ruined over a glass of wine or a pint of beer?", Deaky huffed.

Fred stood quiet as John asked that. "Tons, John. I've seen many people lose their battle with alcohol, especially as someone who used to work at a bar. That's why I made mock tails for our guests later on tonight.", he uttered. John nodded in understanding, he didn't want to lose what he already has, and even though they met not so long ago, he knew how much Freddie really loved him. "If I'm actually able to stop, I'd still want to be with you.", he whispers.

"Starting after our very first gig together, we're gonna get you the help you need. There's this retreat I saw at your job, they're looking for several people to come. It's a two month go away.", Freddie elaborated. "But that means I won't be able to see you for two months.", Deaky uttered sadly. "Deakling, it's okay, they allow once a week visits just so other can check upon their loved ones.", Fred reassured, pressing a gentle kiss on John's lips.

"You're right, I will give it a try.", John sighed. "Thank you. I'm proud of you in advance.", Freddie said holding John close. "You know we should get back to setting up for tonight.", Deaky reminded resting his head on his boyfriend's shoulder. "Oh, you're so right, Deaky. I'll finish up from here and you take over the decorations, yeah?", Freddie commented. "Sure Freddie.", John commented and walked out.

"Hopefully this shingdig goes as planned!", Freddie thought.
