-John's POV-
Words really couldn't express how I felt about being the final puzzle piece they so desperately needed. They've auditioned so many people, but they finally found the right one. I received so many congratulating compliments from them all. I smiled like I've never smiled before.
The amp was taken back to its original place by the original people who brought it. After they left, Freddie signaled me to come sit with him, and so I did. "I was very impressed with your playing today. You did incredibly well.", he said. "Thank you, Freddie.", I shyly replied still smiling. "You know, we haven't had much time to know each other better. How bout you come over to my flat and we'll talk more.", he suggested. "Sure, Freddie, but...I don't even have a car. I only take the trolley.", I shamefully admitted. "It's okay, I'll just give the address to you. I'll be right back, okay?", he said. He left to retrieve a pen and paper I assume. I was left alone, still excited to be the bassist of Queen though. I could imagine how legendary we'd become when our name gets out to the world. I smiled at that thought. Freddie came back with a small piece of paper and handed it to me. "I'll see you later on, right?", he asked. "Yeah.", I simply said. I took my bass and carefully left the studio waving goodbye to him.
I patiently waited at the same trolley station for another one to come by. "Hey!", a voice called, "We can give you a ride back home if you'd like." I turned to see those other guys, Brian and Roger. "Come with us!", Brian called. I hesitated, but then came over to them. "Just give us your address and we'll take you there.", said Roger getting in the driver's seat. "Thanks....how will my bass fit?", I questioned. "No worries, I'm sure the trunk's big enough.", Brian assumed. "Of course it is, it'll fit, I promise.", the blonde huffed. Brian gave him a certain look of, "please don't start." At least blonde boy got back out and opened the trunk for me to gently place my bass inside. "It really did fit in there after all.", I said. "Yeah, plenty of room for anything basically.", the blonde replied getting back into his original seat. I sat in the backseat while Brian sat in the passenger's seat. Once everyone was buckled up, I gave out the address and Roger started the vehicle and headed that way.
I couldn't resist having Freddie on my mind throughout the whole trip back home. He was just so...how do I explain this? He's a God. His jawline and cheekbones perfectly chiseled, those thin and kissable lips of his, that flowing jet black hair. And don't get me started on those chestnut eyes. I'm sure he has literally anyone chasing after him, including myself. Then again, I might be attracted to women and men. Do I really have the truest feelings for Freddie? If so, I must tell him tonight. Or should I wait? I don't really know if I have the courage to tell him though. Would he reject me? Would he insult me? Would he kick me out already? I felt so panicky that my knees were knocking a little.
Moments later, we arrived at my home. Roger parked carefully and he and Brian got out to help me get my bass out the drunk. I thanked them both for getting me here besides waiting for a slow trolley. I headed inside and waved goodbye. They waved back and soon, the blonde drove away. I set my bass down and rushed to my bedroom. I panted heavily and paced the floor. Keep it to myself or tell him how I feel? Keep it to myself or tell him how I feel? Keep it to myself or tell him how I feel?
I stopped pacing for a moment and found a coin sitting on my nightstand. I grabbed it and decided that heads would be keep it a secret, and tails to admit it to Freddie. I took deep breaths in and out with eyes and flipped it. It hit the nightstand because I heard a clink. I slowly opened my eyes....it was on tails. This made me more anxious. I wanted to try again, but I just couldn't resist him. Why must he be that handsome, kind, and clever....intelligent and all.
I think I'm in love with Freddie Mercury.
