-John's POV-

I got to this apartment building a few minutes later. I parked my bike on the sidewalk beside the building and got the flowers out of the basket. My knees are getting weak again, not from pedaling so long, but from nerves. No. I can't let it happen. I walked inside and a bored receptionist stared me down. "Can I help you?", she scoffed. "Uhm, I-I'm here to...visit a friend of mine. His name's Freddie Mercury.", I stammered. She rolled her eyes and gave me his room number. I thanked her and headed that way.

I felt my heart beat quicker than ever. Deep breaths, you've got this. His flat was up top so I rode an elevator up there. I wondered how his flat actually looked like, it must be a wonderful layout I hope. The elevator stopped on the specific floor, and I headed out as it opened. I walked down the hallway, it's quite up here honestly. I kept walking until I got to his flat number. I took another deep breath and knocked on the door, waiting for his answer. He did almost immediately.

"John, you're here. Please come in and have a seat.", he greeted signalling me in. I walked it and suddenly looked around as he shuts his door. Very beautiful as I thought it'd be. I sat down on the couch as he advised me to do. "Could I offer you a glass of wine?", he asked. I usually don't consume alcohol, but this could actually improve my confidence. I nodded in reply and stepped into the kitchen, preparing the two glasses. I looked down at the bouquet of roses I still held onto. If these happen to shrivel up, he's always welcomed to come by to mine to see them bloom in my little garden. He came back and set the glasses on the coffee table. "These are for you by the way, Freddie.", I said happily handing him the roses. "Oh my....John these are gorgeous.", he replied taking them and smelling them. "They're not only my favorite flower, but they're also in one of my favorite colors.", he explained. Yellow. Like the sunshine he really is.

"Really? Those are fresh from my little backyard garden, you should come by some time as well.", I responded. He smiled as he set the flowers down beside him and picked up his glass. I too picked mine up. We clinked them together and we sipped together. This wine he had was incredibly delicious, better than the average yet classic red wine. "This wine is delicious.", I complimented. "Thank you, it's the richest one out there. Richer than ordinary red wine.", Freddie said. No wonder why it tastes so good. I took another sip and set it back down.

"So, John...", he started, "Since when did you know how to play bass guitar?" "Oh, I'm not really sure actually...I really don't remember. But I've played one time at the age of eight. I might've played around with it, yet I didn't think I could actually learn to play, that was, until I joined that band before attending uni.", I explained. "Oh wow, are you still learning?", he asked. "There's no shame into learning something new.", I chuckled. He smiled as I took another sip of wine. "You're right. I actually had to learn some ways in London, for I'm from Zanzibar, which I believe is an island in Africa. Both my parents are Indian however. Sometime in '63, we had fled to London to start new because of some attacks.", he explains carefully.

Oh my goodness, that must've been a traumatic experience in his life.

"I obviously was just like you are now, timid and quiet as a mouse. I hardly new anyone at this new university. Playing music whenever I was home was my only comfort.", he stated. "My gosh...", I responded. "Trust me, it has been quite difficult, but since then, I did eventually step out of my comfort zone, got along with many people, and continued to pursue music.", he concurred, taking a little swig of wine.

Geez, although he was seemed so quiet, he easily got over it. I wish I could do that. I couldn't help but to sigh a little.

"Is everything alright?", he asked. I felt myself blushing and slightly turned away. I felt so embarrassed that I could walk out any minute. But I couldn't do that, it would be rude. "I'm fine...", I answered. "You still seem shy...something must be on your mind.", he inquired. I turned to him, shockingly blushing. "John?", he spoke. I gulped thickly, I had to tell him. I took many deep breaths trying to calm down.

"Freddie, do you ever know when you're in love with someone?", I asked. He raised an eyebrow at me in confusion. "Hmm, kinda. Or...maybe I'm not sure.", he replies. "Strange...", I sighed. "I know, but...maybe one day I'll find someone...", he shrugged. I took another deep breath, I just had to let it out. "Freddie, I know we just met and all but...when I first saw you come into the agency, I just couldn't stop thinking about you. You're a very kindhearted and charming young man, very handsome as well.", I explained. I could feel him scoot closer to me. He lifted my chin and faced it towards him. "What are you trying to say, darling?", he asked. I sighed, I just had to admit. "Freddie, I think I'm in love with you.", I admitted, blushing crazier than ever. He looked kinda shocked, but smiled a little. "I knew you'd say something like that...", he stated.

"I just....can't resist your presence. I honestly don't even know if I'm attracted to women or men...or maybe both...", I uttered, "I think I'm bisexual..."

Then I felt it.

I felt him suddenly press his soft petal lips against my thin lips. We were kissing. I couldn't help but to slip my tongue in his mouth, and we were soon making out. This feeling had my stomach blooming with butterflies, but I really enjoyed it though. After the intense make out session, he pulled away and wiped a little drool from my mouth. "John, you're gay.", he simply said to me, and he was right, I enjoyed that kiss very much. "It doesn't matter how much time it takes for people to get together, whether it's 2 months, years, heck even weeks. I'm glad you told me how you felt about me.", he said. I did feel quite better that I admitted my truest feelings for him because I really wanted to spend my life with him. "I'm just glad I got it off my chest.", I shyly chuckled. "Say, how bout you stay the night, just the two of us...", he suggests. I immediately nodded. "Wonderful, you can park your bicycle in the lot west of this building. I'll come down with you if you'd like.", he said. I again nodded and he then took me outside, guiding me to the lot and helping me lock my bike away. Afterwards, we made our way back up to his. Wow, I still can't believe I admitted my feelings to Freddie.
