The term started as it usually did but some things were really different. Like the fact that I no longer have any friends in Slytherin. I avoid running into Regulus and Severus when I can, but being in the same house poses many difficulties. For example I have quidditch with Regulus and that's like four times a week. I act like he's not there and ignore his existence completely. He isn't really trying to talk to me, but I always catch him looking at me. On the other hand Severus tries to corner me wherever I go. I mean I know its douchey of me cause we hung out a bit last semester, but we never really got close. I don't know why he wants to be friends so bad, when we can just go back to our relationship before when he kept glaring at me and basically hating me.
On the other hand I have been spending way too much time with Gryffindor's. Whether it's with Lily, Marlene, Dorcas, and Mary- or the marauders. If you had told me a couple years ago that I would be disowned, running for my life, and best friends with a bunch of fucking Gryffindor's I would've laughed in your face. They are not my usual type of people at all, but they really grow on you after some time, some even requiring years, and still not fully alright. For example, I don't know what the fuck happened with Potter, and I don't know if I want to know. We have both been acting as if nothing happened, and it weirdly isn't awkward between us. It was quite easy to fall into our usual routine of bickering and insults. I don't know what would happen if we ended up alone together again, but suffice to say I don't go anywhere without Lily these days, and if she isn't available I stick to Remus like glue.
One other thing I made sure to do when the term started was to visit the kitchens and see if Tikki ended up making it to Hogwarts. I remember how happy she was when she saw me and it just warmed my heart, she told me how happy she is working at Hogwarts, and that it's great being around other house elves. I told her if she needed anything she should definitely let me know, and that was that.
So overall the semester had a good start. I was able to convince Sirius to come with Potter and I while we snuck out so I was never alone with him. I thought we would stay in the shrieking shack, but we ended up leaving and running- well I flew- in the forest. It was so freeing, letting out my Animagus, I had not realized how long it had been since I last transformed. The boys and I entertained wolf Remus and played with him all until sunrise. It was really fun, and Remus' wolf was such a beautiful creature. I really love all sorts of magical creatures, especially the ones who are more likely to bite your head off. Something about a wild creature respecting you enough to not eat you does it for me. I even became friends with our gamekeeper Hagrid because of it. I would visit him when I had a question in care of magical creatures or was interested in anything at all outside of curriculum as well. We both shared a love for dragons and would talk about them all the time. I used to visit him much more when I was younger in his hut by the forest, but I really did not get a chance last year with all the death eater and order shit. I'll probably fancy him a visit soon.
So that full moon was a success, we were able to get Remus back and we left in time for Madam Pomfrey to come pick Remus up. Merlin bless that mediwitch. I was going to head back to my dorm but I realized we would have to be up in less than two hours, and I did not trust myself to go back to my dorm and sleep. None of my roommates would wake me up, and I would probably just sleep through all my classes.
So I opted for an early quidditch training. I could pass by the kitchens and get some coffee and go train, it's a bit chilly outside so the cold air would really wake me up. Finally deciding on what to do I parted with the boys as they entered the castle,
"You coming Reigna?" Peter said with a yawn,
"Nah I'll catch up with you guys later," I said as I turned around to go,
"Where are you going this early if not to sleep Watson?" Potter asked,
"Not that it's any of your business, but I was going to go train. I am tired and all but if I fall asleep I'll sleep through all my classes. I don't know how you boys do this every month," I said with a smile. They truly did care about Remus,
