Another two days have passed; now it's Thursday.

The batch of vampires, as well as the newly enrolled or transferred students, quickly adjusted to the event week, fully coping with the joyful schedules and thrilling games.

Tomorrow was scheduled to be the last round of all remaining sports, and then Saturday will be the award ceremony.

Currently, the ongoing games are in the semi-finals, with the finalist teams lining up in their own fields and courts.

The chess, high jump, track and field, and swimming already ended in the previous days, making the game schedules lighter and not as hectic as before.

And that explains the specific vampire's delight. Now the girl is free, and he will have her again all by himself in the remaining days.

"Hey beautiful"

Another voice joined in, his ears perking up on the familiarity, and he internally growled when the newcomer stood beside the girl.

"Congratulations," Jeno beamed, his eye smiles brightening as he ignored the burning gazes he's receiving.

"Good luck then. I'm surprised your team's advancing," Aerin happily replied.

"Like you said, we will be continuing the intense games of our previous teams last year."

"I'll look forward to that."

"Please do," he cheekily replied, glancing at the vampire beside her and grinning, "Aerin-ah."

Aerin quizzically looked back, watching him step closer until they were just a small space away.

At first, the male ravenette just stared down for a couple of seconds, then brought his hand up, reaching for her hair and ruffling it.

"Any good luck?" he hummed, his hand still on the crown of her head.

The raven girl blinked in confusion.

Why so suddenly? she thought.

Jeno isn't this physical with her and is always at a respectful distance from her.

So why now?

Though her piled thoughts stopped when she felt a strong grip on her shoulder, making her flinch, she looked over to see Renjun's eyes raging red.

He wasn't looking at her; instead, his dark gaze was narrowing toward Jeno.

The girl audibly gulped, flickering back and forth between the two vampires, feeling so small in between the heavy air that they created.

Jeno's gazes were blank yet firm, contrasting Renjun's openly displeased ones, ready to pounce.

Please, my life is slowly becoming a romantic fanfiction.

Snorting on her thoughts, she held Renjun's cold hand that's still on her shoulders, successfully ripping him out of whatever fight they were in.

Jeno's hold was shrugged away when she took a step back, then slid in front of Renjun in an attempt to get the male ravenette's attention back to hers.

"Good luck, Jeno. Remember to play fair, okay?"

Jeno clenched his jaw for a second and took a deep exhale, then flashed a small smile.
