The moment Renjun passed the front door of the mansion, he felt as though he had done something heavily productive as his energy continued to drop.
The whole day is clearly eventful. Now he understands why the previous batches wouldn't stop talking about Sports Week and named it the best week of their lives. Renjun thought that they're just overreacting, considering how their mouths would almost rip from their big smiles, but after spending a single day through it, he chose to believe.
The vampire dragged his feet to the clean, spotless kitchen, feeling anxious to move a thing, thinking that using one would be a crime. Nevertheless, he chose to ride on his ignorant behavior and grabbed a mug, filling it with cold water from the dispenser.
As soon as he placed the mug on his lower lip, a buff raven male passed on his peripheral vision, stopping himself from taking a sip.
"I thought you wouldn't come back," he said, opening the fridge and taking out a can of cola.
"Awwee, you're worried?" Renjun snickered and finally took a sip. "I just walked Aerin home, big guy, not a problem."
"You're enjoying this too much," the ravenette lowly chuckled and opened the can without a bit of struggle. "Is this considered falling?"
"Falling? On the pit, on the ground, on the fire—"
"Love, dear Renjun. Falling in love."
Renjun faced him with a raised brow. "Me? Huang Renjun?" he scoffed a laugh. "This is serious, Lee Jeno; are you trying to be funny?"
"Yeah, this is serious. How weak of you."
"I'm not weak, and I'm not in fucking love either. Love? Please, we didn't even deserve it."
"Oh? Why are you so defensive though?" Jeno retorted, his eyes staring the other down like a hawk.
Renjun just faced him straight, making it difficult for the others to read him.
Both just held their intense eye contact—hard and heavy—like if one of them continued to trigger the other and removed the safety pin, they would explode.
Renjun is the ticking bomb between them, and Jeno surely knows how to push his buttons if he wants to or just tries to.
Yet the buff vampire just flashed a cunning smile, walking closer to the smaller yet stronger opponent.
"I never knew you would be tamed, Renjun-ah. A round of applause to Kim Aerin," he darkly mumbled while deepening their eye contact, then walked away after some seconds.
Renjun just stood there, freezing on the spot. His grip tightened on the mug as his eyes flashed in frustration.
There's no way he would feel such emotions. There are such huge feelings that people around him constantly talk about.
"No way," he mumbled to himself and scoffed. "Kim Aerin? Just a girl I'm playing with from the start. Love? What the fuck?" he rambled, yet also stopped when he remembered what he went through recently.
A massive throwback just started lining up in his mind. From the first sunset to the daily talks, from the flirty plays to the kiss.
To the kiss... the kiss...
