Chapter 7- Strange Happenings at Hogwarts

     The day started out normal, we went to breakfast, went to our usual classes, and then went to lunch. But there was a foggy feeling. Almost scary. We went to our classes and the feeling grew. It was dinner now. Wednesday, October 2nd.

     "What is it, Mark?" Nala asked.

     "Probably nothing." I knew that wasn't the case. I hadn't seen Angela all day , and she usually loves to have dinner in the Great Hall. At least that's what Ivy told me.

     Students chatted and laughed while they ate a two course meal provided by the house elves at Hogwarts. But some of the Hufflepuffs, including my best friend Zucker, looked the same way I feel.

    And I know Ivy and Ivana were worried. They usually sit at the lake with Angela at recess. But it was just a gut feeling that told me something was off. That Angela wasn't just sick and had to stay in the dormitories. Yesterday she got to letter, and she didn't look very happy to get it. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

     "Hey, Mark!" Jake Friar asked "Austin and I are gonna go to the library I figured I'd ask you to come. You look pretty bored."

     " Sure. " I said. "I needed to find a book anyway." I got up.

     " Where are y'all going? " Tessa asked.

     "We're just gonna go to the library. I'll see you later." I said.

     " See ya. " 

     We walked out of the Great Hall and saw and walked to the library. When we got to the library we saw Austin waiting there. He looked at me and rolled his eyes.

     "You brought him?" He mouthed.

     " Yes, Austin." He said , "He needs to get a book."

    He looked forward and started walking we walked with him. A few seconds later we heard, "Hey where are y'all going?" I knew it was Ivy so I turned around.

     " We're going to the library. " I answer and see it's Ivy and Ivana.

     "Oh, can we come?" 

     " Sure. " I say.

     "Dang it, now we have the blood traitor following us."

     I decided now was a good time to try out a spell of been practicing . I pulled out my wand and point it at Austin.

     "Hey what are you....."

     " Silencio. " In the middle of his sentence he lost sound. His mouth was moving but he wasn't talking.

     We all laugh for a little bit then Ivy stops. "Mark this isn't right. Give him his voice back. "

    I hesitated but did it. "Reverto." His voice came back and he started yelling again.

     We entered the library and Jake went to find a book on how to be an auror. Ivy, Ivana, and I went to look for a book on the history of Hogsmeade.

     "Hey Mark, is this what you're looking for?" Ivana brings a black book with a golden pattern on it.

     "Do the have the first volume?" I asked.

     "I don't know I'll go look." She ran off.

     I turn around and browse the books for fun and then Jake bumps into me.

     "Sorry." He says

    " It's okay, only an accident " He had a book on his hand so I assumed he found what he was looking for. "What are you looking for now?"

     "Just browsing." He answered.

     "Cool. Me too." I say nervously .

     "Well, you wanna look together ?"

     There was a loud scream. "Ivana!" I yell. Jakes eyes to wide and we run towards the scream. We ran to a trap door a second after Ivy and Austin were right behind us.

     "Where do you think it leads?" I ask Ivy.

     "I don't know." She answers, " Let's find out. " She enters the trap door is following behind.

     "Whitmore, be careful." Jake says. She smiles. 

     "Do you think Ivana's in here?" Austin asks.

     "You gotta have hope, right." Was her answer.

     "Hey guys, I see something." Jake states. We follow him to a light where Angela was floating in the air. Seconds after a humanly figure walked out of what looked like a sigil summoner. The spirit started to make its way into Angela, we tried to stop it I almost had my wand out but it was too late. Angela and Ivana fell to the ground unconscious.

     "Hey, umm, Mark," Jake looks at me, "Ain't this umm a," He pointed at a tiny sack on the floor, " Hex bag!! " H

     I looked at the sack and my eyes widened. "Umm also. That is a sigil spirit summoner." I say.

     "Come on guys, we gotta get Angela and Ivana out of here." Ivy states.

     "Okay, Austin and I will help carry Angela , and Ivy, you and Jake will help carry Ivana." I say quickly. I help Austin lift Angela up, to our luck she could still walk. We helped her up and out of the trap door.

     "So Austin," I say, "What's your problem with Ivy?"

     " Her father. "He says without a thought about it. 

     "Why?"

     " He married a muggle, he's a blood traitor. "

     "Well he fell in love with that muggle." I say getting kinda ticked off. " Try to think like that. "

     "I'll try."

     " What do you mean I'll try?

     "I can't think of him loving her when I don't know what love is like!" He nearly shouts.

     My eyes start to water. " I don't know what to say. " A few tears tell from my cheek

     "It's fine, you didn't know. The truth is, my parents conceived me under a love potion."

     When he said that we were back in the library.

     We got to the hospital wing and told Madame Pomfrey a huge lie about what happened. "Night Ivy, I'll see you tomorrow morning." We did our secret handshake. " Hey, sorry about earlier, Austin. " "It's okay. Ivy and I are gonna try to start a band." He says happily . "Nice." Jake and I went to the Ravenclaw Common Room and talked for a few hours. "Next Day" When I woke up the next morning I got dressed and went to the Great Hall for breakfast. When I got there Ivy was at the Hufflepuff table, laughing with Zucker Zucker and Dean Chavis. We told Zucker what happened yesterday and he believed us. He said he 'had a weird feeling too yesterday. Later we practiced the expansion charm at the lake and went to dinner.
