The next day was the Gryffindor verses Hufflepuff match. The Ravenclaws, including me, were all betting on Hufflepuff to win. They made quite a lot of points yesterday and have a really fast Seeker. Jake and a few other Ravenclaws from third year thought the Hufflepuffs stood no chance against the Gryffindors, for Gryffindors were to chivalrous. But courage doesn't always beat a team's loyalty to each other.
I went downstairs with a scarlet and yellow long sleeved shirt on. I had sewed the house crests into the correct house colors to symbolize my support for both teams. There was a lot of yellow downstairs, little bursts of blue and red were still in sight. It was the sort of thing you would see in the Hufflepuff Common Rooms every night.
"Hey, Mark." Jake said from behind me.
"Hello, Jake." I answered.
"Tessa, Anna, and I were going to go to the Great Hall to support the teams. We wanted to know if you wanted to come." He scratched his head, which looked like it was held together with hair gel.
"What did you do to your hair?" I asked, chortling.
"It was getting long so I decided to use gel."
"Did you use the entire bottle?"
"No. Are you coming or not?"
I pulled out my wand.
"Aguamenti!" I shot a squirt of water into his hair. It was only a squirt because the spell was advanced. I collected some of the gel with a napkin on the table next to me. By the time I was done his hair looked more civilized than as if he'd been in a troll's nose. "Yes. I'll come."
"Yay." He said, now irritated. I laughed. So did he.
There was a lot of scarlet and green in the Great Hall. Obviously, we were the only Ravenclaws here. The Hufflepuffs were all leaving to practice before the game. The Gryffindors were eating and laughing.
"Y'all might wanna be practicing if you want to win." I say to the Gryffindors.
"We're going to win." Riley Castiel said smugly.
"Yeah!" The Gryffindors all said together.
Ivy waved for us to sit down with her. Ivana was on her left talking to someone. Zucker.
"I like your shirt, Mark!" Ivy said.
"Thanks."
"Hi, Tessa, Anna, and Jake." She said. "Y'all excited for the game!" We all nodded.
"I see the lot of you Ravenclaws are rooting for the Hufflepuffs." Bill Weasley said, popping out of nowhere.
"We figured loyalty would beat chivalry." Tessa said.
"Since when?" Jake and Ivy said at the same time. They laughed.
"Guys!" Zucker yelled.
"What?" We all said.
"Look!" Zucker pointed at the Slytherin table.
Bellamy and Austin were in an argument.
"Why must you disrespect our house by wearing that?" Bellamy gestured to Austin's Gryffindor shirt.
"It's not disrespect if your smart enough to know that it's just a Quidditch game. It's not like our team is playing."
"Well go take it off. I'm tired of looking at it."
"I'm sorry, but no. Yer not my mom or my dad. If I could even call them that."
