Chapter 2- Diagon Alley

I was in the middle of Diagon Alley all alone, surrounded by strangers, holding a letter and a card. I knew where I needed to go but my stomach didn't agree with me. I had to go to GRINGOTTS. The worst place to go for somebody with a weak stomach. The transportation in that crooked place ran by rude goblins was beyond terrible, but I had to go anyway.

I started walking, then ended up running so I could get it over with.

I entered the huge doors and walked in to a long big hallway surrounded by goblins writing with golden goose feathers. The goblin at the very end of the corridor stared a at me, just waiting for a reason to kick me out. I got there and he stuck his short, wrinkly hands out and croaked, "Your key, Mr. Wailer."

" I believe you have it. " I gave him one of the cards. He opened a cabinet with rows of rusty keys and ran his fingers through them until he found the one. The rest is too graphic to mention.

I walked out of Gringotts with a pale face and an upset stomach, but now that I had money, I needed to buy school supplies. I pulled out the letter and ran my fingers along the words that were so carefully written. The basic things I needed were a wand, a black robe, a companion (owl, cat, or toad), and beginner books.

I looked around and saw that Flourish and Blotts was the closest store to me, so I decided to go there first. The people around me chartered as I walked quickly to the store. I became lost quite fast and started hyperventilating, then I saw someone coming out of a store, Flourish and Blotts to be exact. I rushed into the store. I didn't know where to start, so I looked at the list. I needed books for Transfiguration, Herbology, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, and Potions. I decided to browse around and not look for one thing at a time.

There were books on everything from magic tricks to actual magic. Books flew in the air and went through shelves as if they weren't there. I kept looking, and then I found a familiar book. It was put on the shelf backwards, and was the only one there. I realized that this was Advanced Guide to Potion Making, the only book in the entire magic world with a blue cover and a golden page-marker. I grabbed the book and pulled It off the shelf, to my surprise, a hand comes with it. The hand starts waving at me and from behind the bookshelf a girl screams, "HI!"  I took a step back then another voice came in saying, "Ivy, what happened?" I stuck my head through the bookshelf and saw two girls about my age looking back at me, One with red hair and one with blonde hair and pink tips

"Is everything okay back here?" I ask trying to be calm. The red head looks at me, Ivy I assumed because of her crazy expression like the hand from the bookshelf.

"No, I'm not okay, I'm looking for a Korengian Knicklebocker! I can't find it anywhere! It's for Xenophilius Lovegood!" She looked up and her eyes widened, "I really want a Korengian Knicklebocker."

I'm humored by Ivy and decide to go around the bookshelf to see them better. I look at Ivy and say, "Well, you're not going to find that here." I stick my hand out for a handshake . The blonde girl pushes pass Ivy and takes my hand. She takes my hand and tells me her name is Ivana Sallow. I tell her my name is Mark Wailer.

I chatted with Ivy and Ivana for a while. Ivy gave me an ancient muggle book called Romeo and Juliet, and then we parted. I went to Ollivanders and got a 13 inch Cherrywood Wand with unicorn tail hair as a center. When I got home my parents waited in the Main Room to celebrate my getting in to Hogwarts.
