We rushed to my parents with a small goodbye to Ivy and Ivana while we walked. (more of a run, actually) My parents gave Jake a welcoming embrace and we walked out  of King's Cross Station. There was a trolley waiting outside for us that we would take to the park, where Dad hid the Portkey to our house.

"Your parents seem nervous." Jake observed.

" There not used to having two children to keep up with. They are both very busy workers, so you can imagine how this is for them. They're enjoying the company, though. " We stepped off of the trolley and walked through the arched gate of the local park.

"Just this way boys." My dad said. "We're almost there." He tugged at his collar. That's when I realized he was wearing a suit. I rolled my eyes and kept walking. He looked very different from my mother. He was tall and tan with light blonde hair. Mom was still tall, but she was very pale and had a copper tinted sort of color to her hair. They both had bright blue eyes.

I had my mom's pale skin and attitude, but I had my father's build and hair color. I was abnormally talk for my age.

"Marvin, dear," My mother stated, "We need to hurry."

     " Agreed. "

They started walking faster and so did we. Mom pulled out her wand discreetly and said:

"Point me." The tip of her wand pulled towards North-West we were walking  North.

" Doris, put that down. I know where I'm going. " She smiled. He smiled back.

I look back and see that Jake is also smiling. Then it hit me that I didn't know Jake all too well.

"So, what do you usually do for Christmas?" I ask.

"I don't want to talk about that. What about you? Do you travel every Christmas? "

"No, not usually. We went to Venice one Christmas, but that was just to see my mom's mom." I stumbled over a rock and fell down.

Jake died laughing. He offered me his hand and I knocked it away.

"You fell so hard!" He bent over and rested on his knees while he laughed . My parents were snickering a little bit too. I decided that it probably was funny and laughed along with them.

"Okay, we have got to get going now. " My father said with a small chuckle.

     We all nodded.

When we arrived to the portkey, (which was a rock) we all grabbed it at the same time. At our house, which is a three-storied mansion that was built by my Great-Great-Great-Great Grandfather, we went inside and did a final sweep of packing. I changed into a thick long sleeved sweater that was decorated with red and white lines right down to the hem. I let Jake borrow an old jacket that I grew out of a year ago. It fit him perfectly.

On the boat we went to our small rooms that we would be sleeping in for the next few nights. They were small and poorly illuminated, but they were quite relaxing. Jake and I ran around the boat looking for things we could use magic on. My father caught us and took our wands.

"Underaged wizardry on a muggle vehicle? That could have me fired ." He said.

"I brought my violin and harp with me, you wanna play some music? " I asked Jake when he started to get bored.

"Sure!" He stood up and followed me to the bottom of the boat where they kept our luggage. I took my Violin out of it's case and tuned it. G-D-A-E. Jake pulled his small book out of his pocket and flipped to a certain page. "Here." He said , "Try to play this." He handed me the book and I looked at the sheet music.

I drug my bow across the strings of my Victorian violin that I got for my birthday a few years ago. The notes were simple, but they were beautiful. I got to the end of the song and improvised with some notes that were quite relaxing. Jake smiled and picked up the small harp on the table to my left. It was quite dark down here with a few lamps to light the place up.

Jake chuckled. "I've never played one of these before." He admitted.

I let the violin's neck fall down my hands until it's head was cradled in my palm. "It's kinda hard," I explained , "but I'm sure you could do it." I say the violin in it's case and moved Jake's arms to the right position. "You wanna be able to see the strings, but you also want to get the right sound. The song you wrote is in the key of A, so you want to stay in this section right here." My fingers plucked the strings near the middle of the harp. " Like that! "

He plucked the strings and I picked up the violin once again. I want through the series of notes again as Jake made beautiful attempts at the harp. We were soon making a song so genuine and pretty that we were both smiling and laughing. Jake sat down the harp and looked at me with a smile stretching from eye to eye.

     "That's it!" He exclaimed .

"What's it!" I asked. Just as excited .

"I knew this song was missing something! Apparently it was harp and an expert violinist!"

I blushed lightly. " I'm far from an expert. You were the one who learned harp in........... How long have we been down here? " I laughed.

"I have no earthly idea! Maybe an hour! I don't know! Anyway, I wouldn't have learned the harp if you never invited me here."

"Pschhh! Who else would I have invited??"

" Ummm I don't know. Zucker, Austin, Ivy, Ivanna, Tessa! Tessa's pretty cool. " He leaned on his hand. "Don't you think?"

My heart sunk, but I didn't know why.

" I mean, I guess. " I said rather monotonously. "We should probably get back up there ." I said.

He stood. " Yeah, probably. "

   I slept lightly that night.
