"You're my one and only"

"Bella!" Spencer called out, knocking on the bathroom door. "Love, are you ok?"

"Yes," Bella lied, wiping her mouth as she stood up from the toilet.

She flushed it, her cheeks still feeling flushed as her stomach continued to hurt. She felt like she was going to throw up again at any second.

Spencer opened the door and crept inside, catching a glimpse of Bella's tired eyes and colorless face. He pressed his hand against her forehead before pulling it away.

"You don't have a fever," he said quietly. "Were you throwing up?"

"Uh...yeah," Bella nodded. "I think I just ate something weird."

   "Yeah...that could be it."

Bella pressed her lips together, "I think I'm just...nervous too. I mean this is our first big get together since...since we found out about the stalker."

Spencer held onto Bella's hands, "That sicko is not going to get anywhere near you, Bella. We have constant surveillance around the house and we haven't gotten a strange call or email in almost 2 months."

"I know," Bella nodded. "It's just...we haven't gotten any new information on who this person could be. It's terrifying knowing that this person is still out there. We don't even know what they want or why they did what they did."

Spencer pulled Bella into a hug, "It's going to be ok, Bella. We're going to catch this guy. We're going to find whoever did this."

   "Ok," Bella whispered. "Ok."

Bella held onto Spencer for as long as she could.

The team laughed and snacked on various dishes that Bella had prepared, celebrating Spencer's 31st birthday. Their house was cozy, getting ready for the Halloween that was swiftly approaching.

Spencer sat at the kitchen island and took a sip of his beer, ignoring the bitter taste. He wondered if he was just drinking it to look cool and mature in front of everyone, or if he was drinking it because he wanted to.

"Happy birthday, kid," Derek said, slapping Spencer on the back and sitting down next to him. He popped a pretzel into his mouth.

"Thanks," Spencer said, coughing up a bit of the beer we was drinking.

"I'm not sure if I should even be calling you kid anymore. My man is now 31! You're growing up! You're an adult now!"

"I think I've always been an adult."

Derek laughed and squeezed Spencer's shoulder, "How's life holding up for you?"

   "Good, very good," Spencer nodded.
