"The way she shows me I'm hers and she is mine"

Bella dragged herself out of bed, wrapping a robe around her naked body. Spencer groaned, reaching out to try and pull her back into bed but missing. He opened his eyes slowly, trying to adjust to the sunlight streaming in through the windows. He ran his fingers through his disheveled hair, a yawn slipping out of his mouth.
"Bells, it's 6:02 in the morning and it's a Saturday, come back to bed," Spencer said, his voice tired.
"I'm going to make waffles, would you like any?" Bella asked, ignoring what he said.
"No, don't make breakfast yet, just come here," Spencer said, opening his arms up. "I want to hold you."
"I might make some tea as well, do you want any?"
Spencer widened his eyes, "Are you hearing anything I'm saying?"
Bella glanced over at him, "Hm?"
"Well...someone is eager to get out of bed today."
"Sorry," Bella said with a shake of her head. "I just need something to do right now. I don't want to listen to my brain."
"Did you have a bad dream?"
"No...my brain just won't turn off."
Spencer pressed his lips together, "Is this about Alistair?"
Bella put her slippers on, "Maybe."
"Oh come on, Bells," Spencer groaned. "He's not your problem!"
"I know that! It's just that...I can't stop thinking about how it's my fault his father is dead. I'm the only one he left a note for when he escaped. He sent me peonies and a letter. He killed my rapist. Do I owe him or do I try to put him away?"
Spencer sat up in bed, staring at his wife as she put her hair up into a bun. She examined her eye bags before turning around and crossing her arms.
"Bella," Spencer said calmly. "Alistair Irvine is a serial killer, he's not your friend. I don't think you owe him anything. He's gone, ok? He's not our problem."
"But shouldn't I at least try to help find him?" Bella asked. "I mean...he just killed the people responsible for killing his family. You'd think now is a good time to finally catch him now that all of his work is done."
"Bella-"
"Maybe I can talk to the fugitive task force, I might be able to help them."
"Just wait-"
"Alistair might listen to me, he's always respected me."
"Bella!" Spencer yelled, catching her attention. He shook his head and looked at her, "Will you stop? You are so in over your head right now!"
