"Have I found you?"

As a profiler, you are ready to take on any challenge. You're ready to fight any fight there is. You're ready to see the worst of the worst and still come home and try to make peace with yourself. It's expected that a profiler is tough, ready to work long hours and still try to find time to eat a dinner that doesn't consist of pizza or hamburgers.
As a profiler, you prepare yourself for anything. You try not to flinch when talking to serial killers. You try not to cringe when looking at photos of mutilated bodies. But sometimes, the trying, it catches up to you. It turns around and stabs you, right when you least expect it to.
As a profiler, you truly never know what you're waking up to.
Light shaking woke Bella from her sleep, the blonde rubbing her eyes and furrowing her eyebrows. The room was still dark but the soft sound of an alarm in the background pulled her out of a gentle slumber.
"Bells," Spencer whispered. "I'm sorry to wake you, honey."
"Don't feel sorry," Bella whispered back. "We have to work, I get it."
Spencer grinned, "Want to call in?"
"No, we can't."
"We have tons of sick days."
Bella opened up her large eyes and grinned at Spencer. She cupped his cheek, stroking her thumb over his soft skin.
"You're cute," she whispered.
"I know!" Spencer exclaimed. "Doesn't that make you want to snuggle? Doesn't that make you want to lay in bed and watch movies?"
"Later," Bella grinned, sitting up and giving Spencer a kiss.
"Later?" Spencer whined as he continued to kiss Bella.
Bella grinned against his warm lips, "We can fool around in the hotel room."
"Tempting, but our bed is still my favorite spot. Come on, just think about it. A warm bath, chocolate covered strawberries, candles, our perfect bed."
He began to kiss down Bella's neck, sucking and nipping at it as she smiled and laughed. His fluffy hair tickled her cheek as she wrapped her arms around him.
"I'm sorry, handsome," she sighed. "But there's a strangler on the loose in Alaska and I have a deep feeling that we're going to be taking that case."
"Yawn, a strangler is boring," Spencer smirked. "What about an ax murderer? Or an arsonist? Or a cannibal?"
Bella squealed as Spencer nipped at her earlobe. He laughed and pulled away, giving her one last kiss. He pushed her hair behind her ears, cupping both sides of her face as he looked at her with pure love and awe.
