Chapter One - A Chance Meeting
Present Day - Britain
It was yet again another cold, British Friday night and Leroy could think of no better way to spend it than getting completely hammered at the local nightclub. He'd already had a few pints before he left the comfort of his hotel room so it was safe to say that he had already drunk enough for one night.
However this was Leroy. Young, single and a bit of a ladies man. So obviously he thought having just a couple more glasses or shots would do him no harm. This was how he had spent every Friday evening since he moved away from the family home a few months back. Every week he would go out, get drunk until he had lost all sense of control and then wake up the next morning next to a girl, who which he had no recollection of ever meeting. Tonight was going to be no different.
After successfully managing to carry his already intoxicated self through the nightclub doors he stumbled straight for what he would call 'his favourite part' of the club. The bar.
It didn't take long until he plucked up the courage to take on the dance floor. This is where he really hit his stride. Or so he thought. Not only was this a great time to show off his 'sick' dancing skills but it was also the perfect place to 'hunt for his prey'. Drunk girls with low self esteem and this place was full of them.
Leroy had been partying hard with a whole array of women for well over an hour but he still couldn't decide which of these wasted young laddies he would take back to his hotel room for a bit of 'fun'. Decisions, decisions.
Leroy began to look around the room, scanning for his 'target'. As his gaze swept across the bar he noticed a young woman sat alone by herself, chatting to the bartender and jotting stuff down on the little notepad she held in her hands.
Target spotted.
As he began to stagger towards his unaware 'victim' he saw that the woman had stopped talking to the bartender. Now was his chance.
"So..." He slurred, his breath reeking of alcohol.
"Oh god. No again." She muttered to herself.
"What's a fine lady such as yourself doing here?"
The woman sighed quietly and placed her pen and pad onto the bar. While closing her eyes she began to breath in a soothing way as if to calm herself down. She then angled her head towards him but not to look at him directly.
"If you don't mind. I'm not here to be sociable."
Leroy took a step closer to her. "Oh, now don't be like that, babe." He smirked.
"I'm sorry. Did I not make myself clear the first time? I'm busy right now and the last thing I need is for immoral and dishonest men like you infuriating me." She continued to say in a calm voice.
"I'm sure I can find a way to help you.....forget about about your problems...I'm a very good listener." He whispered into her ear as he slid his hand down her back.
Noticing where he had finally placed his hand, she leaned towards him and whispered back in a stern but fairly calm tone.
"Get your hand off my arse."
Leroy grinned and removed his hand as requested, resting it on the stool she sat on instead.
"Oh, feisty. A challenge.... I like it." He replied, his eyes full of lust.
The woman rolled her eyes in disapproval. 'Men' she thought to herself. She knew that he was not going to stop bothering her anytime soon so if she wanted him gone then the only thing she could do was just play along. Deciding on her plan she turned her body to face Leroy.
"Well sweetheart. Looks like I'm a challenge that you'll never complete." She smiled sweetly before picking up her pen and pad and walking towards the backdoor.
Intrigued, Leroy stepped away from the bar and followed in pursuit of the mysterious woman. Opening the backdoor he found himself in a poorly lit alleyway lined with litter and black bin bags. A good couple of feet ahead of him he saw the woman walking down the alley. He began to clumsily jog to catch her up.
Once he had finally caught her up he regained his strong posture. Now that they were all alone he, once again, decided that it was the right time to make his move and this time he was sure she wouldn't resist.
"So..." He began to say in a cheeky voice "...Your place or mi-"
Before he could finish his sentence her fist collided with his jaw at such a force that it caused Leroy's world to fill with darkness.
