Chapter Four - Invitation

It was 12 o'clock in the afternoon and Jade and Leroy were currently relaxing in the local 'watering-hole' discussing the events of that morning.

Okay so they were in a pub, not an actual watering-hole. I was just trying to be clever. Sorry, won't happen again.

Anyway, so like I was saying, Jade and Leroy were talking about what had just happened at the museum.

"And that guy..." Began Leroy. "...right weirdo."

Jade made a mumbling noise in agreement as she took a 'swig' of her orange juice. She was never much of a drinker, not when it came to alcohol anyway. She much preferred to drink fizzy pop or tea but she wasn't in the mood for either of those things.

Leroy on the other hand had ordered a coffee. A large coffee may I add. Considering he would usually only be dragging his backside out of bed at this time, he had to do everything he could to just keep himself awake.

Well at least he was trying.

"He kind of left suddenly as well. And the way he was talking to you, bloody rude." He finished, using his nails to tap out a tune on the coffee mug.

Jade sighed. "That's people for you." She then reached her hand down into her pocket and pulled out a small notepad and a pen.

"What've you got there?" Leroy asked with intrigue in his voice.

"Our next clue." She replied keeping her eyes locked down onto its pages.

He cocked his head to one side in confusion. "When did you get that?"

Jade rolled her eyes at Leroy but gave a little smirk when she saw just how confused he really was.

"Well, while you was enjoying yourself and giving all of your attention to that 'sword' back up at the exhibit, I was searching for the next clue and sure enough I found it."

"Well?" Leroy edge on.

"Well what?"

"What is it?"

"What is what?"

Leroy had to physically bite his tongue to stop himself from saying something offensive. Jade flashed him a teasing grin.

"You know what I mean. The clue, what was the clue? Jesus, for a women who had no friends you sure as hell know how to wind a guy up." He said with a huff.

"I had no friends but I didn't say I had no enemies."

Leroy crossed his arms and gave her a 'oh really' type of look.

"Okay so I didn't have any enemies either." She chuckled, passing the notepad to him.
