Epilogue

The man was literally 'beaming' with pride as he placed the necklace high up onto the shelf. With a clap of his hands and a smile burning into his face, he turned around to see a young lady and a young man standing before him.

"This is exactly what the museum needed! Thank you so much Jade but...how did you find it?"

"Oh you know... just a little exploring." She grinned back. "Couldn't have done it without my friend here."

"Oh yes. I was wondering who he was." The man chuckled as he extended his hand out shake.

"Leroy." Leroy nodded as he shook the mans hand.

"Roger." He replied. "I've owned the museum here for...lets see...must be coming to about 30 years now. Of course, being here in this 'dead' town I don't get many visitors but I have a feeling that that's about to change. Actually." Roger said as he turned is attention back to Jade. "I'm surprised you're here. I thought you left?"

"Well, you know what they say." She answered. "Home is where the heart is."

"That's very true." He laughed in response.

"So wait...you two know each other?" Asked Leroy.

"Well of course dear chap. I was still running this place when Jade's parents were still alive, rest their souls. They used to come in here all the time. Fascinated by history they were. Young but very smart. Good to see that some things don't change." He finished as he flashed Jade another smile.

"Roger is kind of like the uncle I never had." Jade added.

"Well I best be off. Believe it or not I still have a museum to run. Feel free to stay for as long as you like." Roger continued as he turned to face Leroy.  "Now you take care of her young man. If I here that you've done her any wrong, any what so ever, I will be having words..."

"Roger, he's not my boyfriend!"

Roger looked from Leroy to Jade then back to Leroy.

"Well. If you say so little miss." He laughed to himself before leaving the room.

After rolling her eyes at Rogers idiocy, Jade quickly apologised to Leroy.

"Sorry about him. He likes to jump to conclusions."

"No harm done." Leroy smiled back as he noticed Jade pulling something out of a bag. It was a gift.

"Happy Birthday!"

"Dammit!"

"What? Is your birthday not today, Lee? I thought-"

"No, you're right. It is my birthday today. It's just...."

"What?"

"Now I have to get you a gift for your birthday."

Jade couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't be ridiculous. Besides my birthdays not till February. You've got another three months yet."

"But-"

"Just take the damn present!" She insisted.

Leroy sighed as he began unwrapping his gift.

"You know...I'm quite surprised that you actually remembered."

"So was I." She chuckled in reply.

Tearing the final piece of wrapping paper off the gift. Leroy was left holding a book.

"'All About Swords." He laughed as he read the title.

"I noticed that this book caught your eye while we were in the library trying to translate the clue. So I bought it for you."

"How did you know I like swords?"

"It wasn't really that hard to guess." Jade smirked "Look inside."

Opening the book, Leroy saw a little chain with a dagger shaped pendent at the end.

"Now I know it's a dagger and not a sword but I figured 'Hey. What's a laddies man without some bli-"

Before she could finish her sentence she found herself being crushed by two large arms, wrapping around her.

"Umm...Lee." She muffled as he tightened the hug.

"Umm hmm."

"You're squishing me."

"Oh sorry." He apologised as he loosened his grip around her and flashed her a cheeky smile.

"So." He began. "We've found the necklace. Where are we off to next?"

"We?" Jade repeated.

"Well yeah...I mean...if that's okay with you..if I...you know...tag along again." He replied hesitantly.

"Do I have a choice?"

That question only received a raised eyebrow from Leroy. Jade thought to herself for a moment. This little adventure was going to take her all around the world. Did she really want him coming along? Well, she did enjoy the company.

"Alright you can come."

"Wahoo!"

"On one condition."

"That being?"

"Just behave yourself, alright? I don't want to have to get into anymore trouble, thank you."

"Me? Misbehave? What could possible suggest such a thing to you?" He asked, pretending to he hurt by that comment as Jade rolled her eyes. "But seriously, where are we going?"

"Well we've found one artefact-"

"Out of five-"

"Yes. Which means-"

"There's four left."

"Lee!"

"Sorry."

"Which means that the next item on our list is the ring-"

"'One Ring to rule them all. One Ring to find them'."

"Lee?"

"One Ring to bring them all...'"

"I swear, if you don't shut up."

"'..and in the darkness bind them.'"

Jade stood there arms folded, waiting for Leroy to finish.

"You quite done?" She growled

"Yeah, I'm done." He grinned.

With a huff, Jade continued.

"So our next step is to find the location of the ring."

"Where abouts is it."

"Well, it's quite far away."

"How far away?"

"China."

"China!?" Leroy questioned in shock.

"You said you wanted to tag along." She reminded him.

"Yeah, I know." He sighed as he hung his head.

"So the question remains..." Jade began.

"....are you ready to do it all again?"
