“What are you talking about?” I say. I was almost shaking with fear. What were they going to do with me? I was so scared, but they had the wrong idea about me. They thought I was a werewolf. I should keep giving them that perception—I felt the need to protect Daniel and the pack and I would do that by giving off the perception that I was indeed a werewolf. Grey laughs and crosses his arms over his chest. The waiter comes and takes our plates away. Victor made sure I didn’t say a word by putting a hand on my thigh. I scowled at him.

“Do not play stupid. I could smell you as soon as you walked in the joint and that mark is unmistakable.” Grey says. I look towards the bathroom and I didn’t see any movement. Where in the hell was Pinto?

“What do you want with me?” I ask with a sigh. I was trying to act like I wasn’t intimidated. If Mogard was such a legend in the werewolf world and was so powerful, they should be somewhat scared of me and I felt like they kind of were.

“All these years, I thought his lineage had been deceased. Tell me, what are you doing in the Capitol?” Grey asks. I close my eyes briefly. I really wish Daniel were here right now. But I told him that I could handle myself and I had to do just that.

“Like my friend said, we are just seeing the sights and shopping. I don’t want any trouble.” I say as calm as possible. Grey didn’t look convinced and neither did the other ones at the table. I figured that it was Grey who was alpha. The rest of these men must be high up in his pack.

“Who is your alpha?” Victor asks. Grey raises his brow and watched me intensely. Daniel was my alpha. I may not be a werewolf, but Daniel was my mate so therefore he was my alpha.  I didn’t answer. I just didn’t want to tell them about Daniel and how he was really the one related to Mogard. Grey looked at Victor and nodded. They stood up and Victor made me stand up too.

“Where are we going and where is Pinto?” I say trying to fight out of his grip, but it was painful so I stopped. I tried not to show how much his grip was hurting me.

“Don’t worry. You will see here soon enough.” Grey says. Victor grabs my shawl and puts it over my shoulder. Reece then took my other side and I was escorted out of the restaurant. People watched but they did nothing as I was being taken away. I refused to start crying but the misery on my face was unmistakable. Outside of the restaurant, the machine known as a car was waiting. Victor tugged me into the back and Grey got in the front. The other three men went into a different car behind the one I was in. I took a deep breath. Pinto had to be in that car.

We drove for a while and I kept track of where we were going so I could run away when I had the chance to, if I had the chance to, but I would not be leaving without Pinto. We stopped in front of a building that was only four floors and it wasn’t as tall as the other building I have seen in the Capitol. I got pulled out and I glared at Victor who was the one that did it. His face is devoid of any emotion. The building at a sign on it that read “Grey’s Construction Co.” I raise a brow. So this is where his business was. Victor tugged me inside following Grey and over my shoulder I saw Pinto being carried by Reece. She was not conscious and that just pissed me off. What did they do to her?

I am taken to a room that was probably as big as our hotel room. Pinto was laid on the floor and  I was sat in a chair and chains were tied around me loosely. I then realized that they were silver and that silver weakened werewolves and hurt them. I winced and thrashed around in pain—it was the best acting that I ever did. Grey smirked and he stood before me with his arms crossed over his chest.
