I was lying in the bed with Pinto sleeping soundly next to me. I couldn’t really sleep at the moment. Alec was sleeping in the living room on the couch. I found that I really did like Pinto. Her family was nice enough and she knew of magic and supernatural powers. After Alec had walked in on our conversation, Pinto did not say another word after that. She was keeping this between us and I was glad that she caught onto the look I gave her. I was interested in the place she was talking. She made it sound like heaven.
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a tapping on the window. I get up slowly so I don’t disturb Pinto and I go to the window. I pull the curtain back and Daniel is on the other side. I smile. He was what I needed right now. I pointed over signaling to go to the front door. Daniel nodded and I tiptoed into the room. Alec was sleeping and I had to be careful. If he woke and saw Daniel, our little secret would be out. I let Daniel in and we head right into the little book room. I shut the door quietly and turn to face him.
“What are you doing here?” I say with a smile. Daniel had a little knack for showing up when I wanted him to. His hands grab my waist to pull me close to him and I blush. I loved his hands on me.
“I wanted to see you.” He says. I sit down on the couch and he follows me. I hand my feet over his lap and it just feels natural.
“So who is the girl?” He asks. I assume that he was talking about Pinto. I tell him all about Pinto and I told him about how her village practices magic and whatnot. I also told him about the place she told me about—the place that had answers about my grandmother.
“Are sure about this place?” Daniel asks. I shrug my shoulders. I had no idea where this place was, but I didn’t know what else to do. She was getting worse by the day.
“No, but I don’t know what else to do. She is getting worse and I only found her like this, this morning.” I tell Daniel. He sighs and strokes and thigh up and down. His touch was setting me on fire and he didn’t even realize it.
“If you do decide to go to this place, I will come with.” Daniel says. I shake my head. He couldn’t because he had an entire pack to run.
“No, you have other responsibilities Daniel.” I say. He gives me a look and I arch my brow. We stare at each other for a few moments and he takes my hand in his.
“I am not going to leave you defenseless while you travel so far away.” He says quietly and then kisses my hand. I wanted to kiss him. I never felt this way about a boy before.
“Daniel, I can take care of myself.” I say in a teasing manner. He give me a look and let’s go of my hand.
“Oh really?” He says. Suddenly Daniel moves and he is leaning over me. I can feel his body weight on mine. My heart stops and I am freaking out, but in a good type of way I guess. Daniel looks at me and explores my face. I reach out and out and put my hands on the sides of his face gently. His eyes looked hungrily at my lips. He leans down and our lips finally touch. They felt amazing on mine and we moved perfectly in sync with each other. His hands move down my sides and put mine on his shoulders. He bites my lip and I open my mouth from the shock and pleasure. His tongue slips inside my mouth and I moan. This was all so new to me. I hear him growl and I wonder if his wolf was starting to take over, but I was in so much bliss that I didn’t care.
He pulls away and starts kissing my neck. I close my eyes loving the way this feels. I then felt something sharp pierce my skin a few moments later. It hurt and I was scared, but Daniel whispered that it was okay. I wasn’t okay with it though. He looked at me and I could see blood on his lips. His eyes were yellow and my heart raced. What did he just do? My hand flew to my neck and I felt the warm liquid on my hand
