Nina, Eddie, and Joy accompanied Sarah for the entirety of her walk, all the way to the cafe. After speaking a bit more, they realized they'd have to return back to the others soon.

"Hey, Sarah," Nina began, "we're sorry, but we really have to go now."

"You'll be back, right?"

"Of course."

She, Eddie, and Joy went through the alley behind the cafe, Nina pulling out her locket.

"Wait," Joy announced. "What about our clothes?"

Nina sighed while Eddie agreed, "She's right."

"I know she's right," Nina claimed, realizing they'd have to go back to get them. "Let's get them quickly."

They ran out the alley, not minding whether Sarah some them doing so or not. It took them some time to get back, but as soon as they did, they grabbed their clothes discreetly and then went out somewhere where they wouldn't be seen opening the portal.

Nina pulled off her locket and attempted to summon the portal, which happened to work. They stepped through, ending up back in Nina's apartment and startling William awake.

William stood up and examined their 40's clothing.

"We had to blend in," Joy told him, reading his mind. "Anyway, I've gotta get home and get to Erik, so see you guys!" She hurried out the apartment.

Amber came out her room, seeing Nina and Eddie standing their in their old-fashioned clothing. She questioned it and was given a quick explanation. She decided to call Patricia to let her know Eddie was back.

"Hey, did you guys see me?" William asked Nina and Eddie as Amber talked on the phone.

"You, no," Nina admitted. "But we found Sarah. It was the year 1940, when you were in war, and she was in a shelter. And we told her we were her angels, so...we're her angels now."

"We'll be going back quite frequently now," Eddie added.

Patricia showed up soon enough, Amber letting her into the apartment. Eddie gave her a kiss as she approached.

"Nina, have you checked outside your apartment lately?" Patricia questioned.

"No, why?"

Patricia glanced back as Fabian came into view, holding flowers in his hand. He was also dressed up nicely and feigned a slight smile.

Nina frowned.

Amber spoke to Fabian as Nina gave him a silent treatment. Amber reported to Nina that he wanted to talk at some restaurant, and Nina refused at first but was then forced to go by Amber.

Nina got dressed and Eddie, Patricia, and Amber tagged along. They sat a few tables away in the actual restaurant, but were still monitoring Fabian and Nina.

Their table was silent until after they received their food when Nina asked, "Why'd you want to meet at a restaurant?"

"You can't scream at me again here," Fabian told her.

"That's debatable." Nina then proceeded to eat her food.

"I came to apologize," Fabian suddenly admitted.

Nina dropped her fork. "Really? Are you sure you're not here to tell me it's my fault again?"

"I never said it was your fault. I was just saying you were the Chosen One, which isn't your fault. I'm sorry if it sounded like that's what I was saying. And I'm sorry that I broke your heart, because I know I did. And I'm sorry I didn't call you...Truth is, it was too hard. One day I realized I became so good at suppressing my feelings, I couldn't feel them anymore. Then you show up, and all of that goes down the drain...I cried after you left."

"I didn't know you cared enough to do so. You were so...heartless when we lat spoke."

"Some of the most heartless people once cared too much."

Nina looked up at him for a moment but found she couldn't sit there any longer. She stood up, leaving the table, and heading outside the restaurant, leaving Fabian, Eddie, Patricia, and Amber confused.

It's been a while since I've uploaded a chapter. I've just been busy, but here you go!

Why do you think Nina left Fabian alone at the table?
