While the other interrogations continued, Eddie brought Amber into the guest room and shut the door. They both sat down and commenced.

"Since I'm already aware you know something," Eddie began, "you might as well just tell me."

"You know, I'd rather not."

"Why not, Amber?"

Amber swallowed, feeling pressured to reveal everything.

"We both know you're not good at keeping secrets, so you just need to spill."

Amber sighed. "But if I tell you, then you'll know, and you're one of the people who definitely can't know, and then you'll tell Nina who's also one of the people who definitely can't know, and then you'll both know, and then you'll both end up becoming power-hungry, and then you'll end up becoming power-crazy, and then you'll just wreak havoc on the world, and we'd all die!"

Eddie tried to comprehend what he just heard. "O-ok, what?"

"Oh, seems like you don't understand, so I'll just be going now-"

"-Amber. Just tell me, why would we become power-crazy?"

"Because you'd be power-hungry," Amber stated matter-of-factly. "Weren't you listening?"

"No, no, Amber, why would we become power-hungry then? What makes you think we'd use our powers so excessively?"

"Because you'd find out something you really wouldn't want to find out, and then you'd find out something else that could eliminate that, and then you'd use it, and then kabam! You cause something horrible that you can't change. Eddie, if you'd just listen, you'd understand."

Eddie grew frustrated as he heaved a heavy sigh. "No, I'd be able to understand, if you actually made sense."

There was a knock on their door, and Eddie opened it up. It was Patricia who told him, "Nina's gathering everyone back in the main room. Interrogations are over."

They all went back into the main room, sitting on the couches. They heard a knock at the door, and Nina, who was already standing up, went to answer the apartment door.

"Is it safe to come back in?" William asked.

Nina invited him back in. He made sure to keep his distance from Patricia where he sat.

"Ok," Nina announced, "now that we're all here, it's time we discuss some things. Neither Alfie nor Fabian knew anything. Eddie, Patricia, what did you find?"

Patricia smacked her lips. "William's too afraid to spill out anything, but he definitely knows something."

"And Amber knows something," Eddie admitted. "Though, all I could gather from her confusing answers were that you and I can't know something, we'll go power-hungry, and destroy the world. Other than that, I don't think anyone is a suspect."

"Great," Nina mumbled, "back to only suspecting Amber and William." Aloud so everyone could hear, she said, "Well? Amber? William? How long will this go on?"

William and Amber glanced at eachother. William responded, "As long as it takes."

Later on, most of them left except William and Amber, who of course stayed, and Patricia and Jerome. Patricia was waiting for Eddie who was discussing things with Nina in Nina's room. Patricia was out in the main room to make sure William and Amber didn't discuss any secrets.

Jerome was actually on the verge of leaving, but for a few moments, he took Amber out in the hallway to speak with her. He slipped his own hands into hers, holding them as they faced eachother.

"Are you hiding something from the rest of us, Amber?" Jerome asked in a sincere tone, getting straight to the point.

"Nothing at all babe!" Amber answered cheerfully as she faked a smile, trying to make light of the moment.

"I am your boyfriend Amber," Jerome reiterated, staring deeply into Amber's eyes. "You don't have to lie to me."

Amber gazed downward, falling silent.

"You are lying."

Amber wanted to say something but couldn't. It hurt her not to be able to just tell Jerome everything, especially since he brought up the fact they were in relationship.

"I'll be going now." Jerome planted a kiss on Amber's forehead and left. Amber could just sense Jerome's disappointment in her.

Meanwhile, Nina and Eddie talked in privately in Nina's room.

"I still don't get why Amber would say we'd become power-hungry and destroy the world," Nina emphasized. "Have they suddenly mistaken us for Rufus or something?"

"Nina, maybe she wasn't even telling the truth," Eddie suggested. "All that could just be a cover up."

"But the problem is that we don't know. And they're talking about us here, Eddie. I really need to find out what it is they're hiding, whether Amber lied about all she said today or not. Eddie, I'm really considering kicking her out of Sibuna until she or William tells us."

"I actually don't disagree with that idea," Eddie said, "so if she doesn't tell us when we meet again tomorrow, she's out. We are meeting tomorrow, aren't we?"

"Yeah," Nina confirmed. "See you then."

Eddie smiled and nodded. He headed to the door, but before exiting, he turned back and advised, "Hey, don't stress yourself out too much."

"What makes you think I'm stressed?"

"Remember when we found out sometimes we can feel what eachother is feeling? Well, I've learned to control that, and I know what you're feeling when you're feeling it. So, stop stressing out, or I'll bug you till you loosen up because as your Osirion, I will protect you."

"From danger and most of all, stress," Nina joked. "Goodbye, Eddie."

"Bye, Nina. And I wasn't kidding."

Nina laughed as Eddie left her room and the apartment, along with Patricia. She realized she was stuck alone with the two people in the process of betraying the rest of them, but as Eddie advised, she decided not to stress herself over it, but relax.
