Eddie, Nina, and Rufus were back at Anubis house, and Eddie explained everything to Nina and Rufus while all of them were sitting on a couch.

"The only reason he didn't die was because of us," Nina gathered. "And he couldn't remember everything that happened to him...But Victor came to my apartment complex? Victor shot him?"

"Apparently," Eddie replied. "Gosh, we knew Victor was creepy, but sometimes he was the good guy, and all of a sudden he's a murderer."

"Well, technically-" Nina corrected.

"-yeah, yeah, William didn't die."

"Now that you know this, are you coming back into the past?" Rufus suddenly asked.

"Probably not," Nina admitted. "And we should be returning back to our time as well. She and Eddie stood up. "I'm surprised you didn't try to kill us today."

"Osirion instincts," Rufus claimed. "They told me not to."

Nina opened the portal, but before either she or Eddie stepped through, she faced back towards Rufus. "Hey, Rufus?"

Rufus looked at her.

She hesitated a bit before she said, "Thanks."

Rufus hesitated himself before giving a slight nod. Eddie and Nina stepped through the portal together, and it closed behind them.

They ended up back at Anubis house where all the other six were waiting with six pieces to the emerald tablet on the table. That meant just one left to go. Everyone expected Nina and Eddie to be excited, but they knew they had serious news coming towards them, judging by Eddie and Nina's expressions.

"Tell us everything," Joy stated.

Eddie and Nina did, from when they first landed in the past, to the lake, to Eddie's vision, to their departure from the past. It took a moment for everyone to comprehend everything.

"How do you feel about it?" Fabian suddenly asked.

"I don't know," Nina responded truthfully.

"Same," Eddie agreed.

Once again, silence hung in the air.

"So, we should all head home, and find the last piece to the tablet tomorrow," Alfie suggested.

Everyone agreed to that. As they left, Nina gave one last glance to Eddie. Alfie drove to his place, Joy drove to her place, Jerome would drive Amber back to Nina's place, and Fabian would drive Nina back to her own place. He trailed behind Jerome on the road.

"Just to take a break from the mystery a bit," Fabian swallowed, "are we official again?"

"I guess," Nina replied softly.

"I know I shouldn't bring this up, but even after I broke your heart?"

"Trust me, Fabian-it broke my heart even more so by being apart from you. Yeah, I was sad and angry when you told me it was over, but if I couldn't get you out of my head for two years, then maybe you were supposed to be there. Maybe you're supposed to be here. With me."

That made Fabian smile. He stopped the car at Nina's apartment complex. Nina stayed inside the car for a few moments.

"Maybe, one day, I could propose to you again," Fabian suggested shyly.

"One day, for sure," Nina smiled back.

"I can't believe I left you because of the mystery. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry."

"You've said sorry enough. So, let's forget it and move on."

"Ok," Fabian whispered.

"Ok."

They gave eachother a sentimental kiss before Nina got out the car and headed up to her apartment with Amber. When they were back in the apartment, Amber squealed.

"Fabina!"

"Loud Amber," Nina laughed, rubbing her ears. "Really loud."

"I don't care! My favorite couple is back on!" Amber jumped up and down and hugged Nina.

"Didn't you hate Fabian?" Nina pointed out.

"That was while your heart was broken. But now since you're in love again, I love you both."

Nina rolled her eyes and sat on the couch, Amber sitting on the opposite one.

"I think this mystery is actually nearing the end," Amber sighed, changing the subject.

"Yeah. We just need the last piece to the tablet, and Eddie and I'll piece them together, but we still don't know what will happen afterwards."

"That's true. Hopefully nothing bad," Amber wished.

"Yeah. Hopefully."

"And then the remainder of the time I have in England before going back to America, we can spend it doing things actual people do. Like shopping, and parties, and..." Amber drew a blank.

"More shopping?" Nina finished, knowing Amber so well.

"Precisely."

They both laughed.

"Hey, Neens?" Amber suddenly said.

"Yeah?"

"Promise me we'll be best friends forever."

"I promise."

"Yeah, I promise too. Because you're the best friend I could ever wish for. Best friend anyone could wish for, I should say."

"Amber-"

"-its true, Neens. I've never been more honest."

Nina smiled a softly laughed as she began crying our tears of joy. She stood up and so did Amber, and they embraced eachother with a big hug. After departing from one another, they decided to get some rest and were off to their own rooms.

Welp, another chapter uploaded for you Aristocrats! The last few chapters have been some of my favorite chapters to write and the ones coming up will be as well! They'll be full of intense moments, including revealing what the emerald tablet actually does, if it does anything...

And if they actually piece it together...

Anyways, Fabina is officially official. That deserves applause.

And how about that Namber friendship?

Stay tuned for the next chapter, as always, and until then, Sibuna.
